Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #94

Written by: iwona    7 Comments

Hi guys! As it happens, we’re in the midst of prepping for my parents’ farewell bbq for our extended family (they’re leaving back for Poland in 10 days, just before my due date…. *sniff sniff*), and I’ve been prone to tiredness in these last weeks (while not really taking it easy at the same time, bad me!), so please excuse this hurried post and any mistakes that might have happened therein…

Can I just say that I’m thankful for my new followers, visitors, ‘likers’… you, yes YOU! Thank you so much for investing in me, your precious time. I hope I won’t disappoint.
(and while I know that if not the giveaway that I’m offering at the moment – {link on the sidebar} – this influx possibly wouldn’t happen, I hope that majority of you decided to stay because you genuinely wish to be coming back for more. That would make me quite happy 🙂 )

Thank you also for playing with my last sketch, your entries were as always, phenomenal. Luv checking them out! Here’s my new offering:

Simple? Yes. With a little twist – vertical sentiment. How ’bout that? I think it’s a great way to break the routine. I went one step further, and combined two sentiments from two different stamp sets. And why yes, you can see me debuting with PTI’s Hands Of Time right now! It took me a good while to finally break out these stamps, but boy am I happy that I got this set! It’s a-mah-zing to boot.

I followed the colours of the current ColourQ challenge, but I took some creative freedom with them, at the same time.

A few things to keep in mind if you decide to use my sketch:

– You’re kindly asked to save the image onto your computer first, and if you make a card based on it, please link back to this post.
– If you upload your card to an online gallery, use the code SSC94.
– Feel free to share the link to your creation via the Inlinkz widget, so that I can come and check it out!
– The colours/elements mean nothing towards the card. All styles, colours and supplies, as well as slight alterations of the sketch are welcome.
– A new sketch and sample is posted every other Saturday night (American EST time ~ or around mid-day Sunday Melbourne time), but you’re welcome to play any time! Just leave a link in the comments section after Inlinkz widget closes.

  1. So fun to see you playing with your new goodies, and such a beauty you’ve cooked up with them too! I love the repeated circle motif thoughout – the clock, the spaces for the numerals, all echoed with the flair and the sequins! Wonderful!!

  2. Iwona, I think I speak for most of us when i say that while the giveaways are great, they are just the icing on the cake that is your superb talent and inspiration! I love seeing your creations! They are inspiring and creative. I hope all goes well with your party. Take it easy! (I, personally, have never been disappointed in any of your creations!)

  3. Awww, I’m sorry 🙁 I can empathise fully, on the upcoming departure of your parents. It is hard having all that distance between you! Hope you overcome this tiredness a bit, so you can make the most of the last 10 days!

    GORGEOUS card 🙂
