Hi there! You may or may not have missed the news that I suspended CASE Study, sadly one more thing down in my quest to reduce crafting commitments, but don’t worry, I’m still going to share stuff only less frequently. On the other hand, if you didn’t yet see the first two days of WPlus9 October Release previews, you’re missing out big time! It’s full to the brim with great stamps and dies that your Holiday stamping would be incomplete without, no joking! Check out the WPlus9 blog for the details.
I made a few cards featuring a variety of product from the release and I will be sharing more soon. For the first card, I used all of the pieces in the Holiday Apertures Designer Dies, making a recessed window which I matted with cardstock blended with two shades of green Distress Inks, thus creating a lovely ombre effect behind the teeny tiny die cut trees. I popped up the outer frame, after I applied a glittery edge to it (by sprinkling loose glitter over a strip of double-sided tape).
I added the hanging sprigs by blending a scrap of paper with the same mix of Distress Inks and die cutting the branches from Under The Mistletoe from it. I gathered them together and tied with a twine, added Liquid Pearls in places for the berries and decorated the card with sequins. The die cut word comes from the new Hand Lettered Holiday Designer Die. The sentiment belongs to the Strictly Sentiments 6 stamp set, also a part of the October release. I heat embossed it using green EP.
Next card is a one-layer. I stamped the sentiment and Christmas lights from the new Festive Greetings stamp set in Versafine ink and WPlus9 Sweet Gelato, watercoloured the bulbs using Inktense pencils and added a coat of Glossy Accents to them.
Finally, here’s a card featuring the sweet animal silhouettes from Winter Woodland Companion Die (don’t you just love the scarf on the deer??), the Landscape Borders Designer Dies and the sentiment from the Hand Lettered Holiday stamp set. I kept the scene white-on-white, with glittery “snow” only and contrasting silhouettes against it.
I’m truly loving this release, just as much as I did every one before it! I do hope that this month I will be able to share more of it myself, and in a more timely manner 🙂
The October Release will be available on 05/10, in the meantime don’t forget to check out the WPlus9 blog every day for the inspiration! You will find there the links to the fellow Teamies showcasing the product as well.
See you soon, hopefully!
