Trying on different styles

Zuzia (a.k.a. Chuplet, my 6 monhts old girl :D) has been asleep all morning, so guess what I was doing… that’s right! I thought you might know the answer… lol.
Therefore there are three more cards, that are waiting to be posted here - one of them I actually created late last night, and I mean late… that’s why I probably should use a little nap soon! 🙂
But let’s get down to the business… here are the cards.

The first one is the result of playing around with the new Hero Arts stamp set, that arrived this morning. I adore their world dolls series, and haven’t had the opportunity to ink any of them up, until today… I’m so glad I got this one! I used Taylor’s sketch TESC106 (as usually, I couldn’t resist changing something about it - I rotated it), and the paper-pieced part qualifies it for the Moxie Fab Picking Up The Pieces Challenge.

Next one uses the colours of ColourQ challenge #26 (I was a bit suspicious of them at first, but they do work together!). The sketch is MOJO132:

The last one also goes to the Moxie Fab Picking Up The Pieces Challenge, and Tuesday Trigger: Hippity Hoppity Easter’s On Its Way. I didn’t use the inspiration photo directly, so my card is not an Easter card, but the colours… OH the colours! They’re so inspiring…
The sketch is Karen’s SSSC62:

Just a quickie…

It’s going to be a quick post indeed (or is it? haha)… I’m trying to catch up on the built-up challenges this evening (yes, still the same story… lol), there’s no way I can do things during the day now! I’m enjoying my lil’ girl’s new intense “lifestyle”, and spending a great deal of time playing with her. She’s now got two new teeth, that emerged in the last couple of days, and she’s diligently working on her first crawling moves. LOADS of fun, I tell ya’!! 🙂
Now she’s been in bed for quite a while, and mum has her craft time! YAY! I’d still like to make a card or two tonight though, so I better get on with sharing what I’ve done so far 🙂

Here’s one for CAS60 - Inspired by Carly. I used the lovely colours of Curtain Call Color Challenge: Act 23. That’s another colour combo from our fearless leader Stacey Schafer, that I can’t get enough with…
EDIT: I just saw that three of the Curtain Call girls - Julie, Stacey and yours truly, were crowned in the ColorQ blog today! Yippee!

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; paper: Grant, Kaisercraft Blushed; stamps: Inkadinkado; ink: Grant Black; glitter: Reeves; border punch: EK Success; other: ribbon, button, twine

Next I’ve got a card for Kazan’s sketch 49, and the colours are (again) from Embellish Stitching Color Challenge. The card is also just the perfect entry for The Pink Elephant Challenge #60 - Pastels.

Supplies: cardstock: Quill, DCWV; paper: Grant, digital; sentiment sticker: Grant; ink: Versa Color Umber, Celadon, Grant Light Pink; sewing machine; paper flower: Kaisercraft; chipboard tag: DCWV; chipboard star: Lil’ Davis Designs; rhinestones: Kaisercraft; other: ribbon, button, twine, lace

Lastly, I made one for Mercy’s new sketch MTSC67, using the colours of CC264: Bermuda Gray Saffrons, and following the ingredients of TSG48:

  • 3 different colors
  • 2 different designer papers
  • 1 button
  • 1 Ribbon
  • No other embellishments

The grey paper trim, as well as the flower vase, were cut our from the same sheet of Kaisercraft DP - I hope this counts as one… it wasn’t specified whether a single piece of DP can be used more than one time 🙂 The other paper is the yellow polka dot, obviously.

Supplies: cardstock: Quill, DCWV; paper: Grant, Kaisercraft Argentella, My Mind’s Eye Be Loved; sentiment sticker: SRM Stickers; stamps: Stampin’ Up! Bloomin’ With Beauty; ink: Versa Color Lagoon Blue, Grey, ColorBox Black; bronze metallic pen: Signo; watercolour pencils: Belgrave; border punch: Fiskars; ribbon: Sullivans; other: button, twine

I’m sorry for not so good quality of the photos… I don’t like taking them in the light of the lamp, but I didn’t want to wait until tomorrow either 🙂 I hope you like them!

I’d also like to THANK each one of you SO MUCH, for giving me constant support, love and loads of joy!! Every morning, when I open my mailbox and read through all the SUPER comments that you left me overnight, it’s my absoloutely favourite time of the day. Without you, I wouldn’t be here, and most of these cards wouldn’t probably exist. I’m doing it because it’s my passion, that’s right… but let’s face it - I’m also addicted to YOU my lovely peeps and friends!! 😀 That’s also why I keep creating, because there’s nothing more rewarding than to see that my humble craft inspired you.
So - I don’t stress this all too often, but you’re the best!
I mentioned it once or twice already that I have some big plans scheduled for later this year, that include giving you some love too, and I hope it’s not going to be long now… fingers crossed!
Have a wonderful evening,

Surprise!

Haha yes, it’s me again… third time today - how cool! 🙂
This time I’m bringing you the fruit of the night session. I’m still trying to catch up on my favourite challenges, it seems to me like their number doubled somehow this (almost finished) week… I’ve also had much less time to spend on stamping lately (I know that it’s hard to believe, looking at the number of new cards… but I’m now getting pretty quick with them too)
Taking all this into account, I’m pleased with how I’m going - although there are times that I settle for the quicker, simpler versions of my original ideas, so to save on time. This lot is a fine example of me doing just that 🙂

Here’s card #1, made for FS164: A little sip of Brandi. I used this lovely card of Beedubya as my inspiration. Also, I used the colours of a brand new Embellish Stitching Color Challenge, and it also goes to CT0310, a March Fan Club Gallery Challenge.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; stamps: Grace Taylor (Grant); ink: ColorBox Copper; watercolour pencils: Belgrave; blender pen; glitter: Reeves; sewing machine; alphabet (chipboard & stickers): Fynmark; other: ribbon

Next one is also using Embellish colours, and it goes to Caardvark’s Lacy Days (again…I know I’m exploiting this challenge madly, but firstly - I love working with lace, and secondly - it would be great to win this one…), and Moxie Fab Picking Up the Pieces Challenge (because of that the photo lacks of a watermark). I did the paper piecing by cutting the roses out of some delicious Grace Taylor DP. I wouldn’t normally go in this direction, but they were just perfect for the job.
The sketch comes from FTL 84. Perhaps it’s not such a clean and simple design any more… lol.

Photobucket Photobucket

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; paper: Kaisercraft Devonshire, Grace Taylor (Grant) Vintage Collection; stamp: Papertrey Ink Signature Greetings; ink: ColorBox Copper; sewing machine; other: ribbon, lace, button & twine

Last card is made for the CPS160 sketch. This one was a real quickie, considering that I *cheated* a bit, and used a ready-made tag… (ok, I actually combined two of them together, so it counts for a little extra effort lol)

Photobucket

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; paper: Kaisercraft Devonshire, La Di Da; rhinestones: Kaisercraft; rub-on sentiment: Fynmark;tag: Avery; edge distresser: Heidi Swapp; other: string, lace, button

Now I really should check, whether my bed is still as comfortable as I remember it was…. haha
I’ll be seeing you tomorrow, I hope… unless it’s going to be one of these days, which is quite possible, ’cause my Chuplet seems to have started teething again! Thanks for visiting &

Curtain Call time!

Well hello again, it wasn’t too long since the last post, now was it?
I told ya’ I’ll be back… mwahahahaa!! 😉

I’m pleased to show you, what extremely AWESOME colour combo comes with this week’s Curtain Call Color Challenge: Act 23. You’re gonna love it!

See, I told you… super sweeet! I know you want to play with us now 😛 Below is my sample - I was inspired - yet again - by one of Nichole Heady’s cards. This was the first time that I had the opportunity to ink up the stamp from PTI’s Signature Greetings - wahoo! Unfortunately, I’m just having it borrowed (thanks so much again Sue!), but I just placed an order with them, and guess what’s going to be coming my way soon… 😀
I’m entering this card into Caardvarks Lacy Days challenge.

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; paper: Grant; stamps: Hero Arts (background), Papertrey Ink (sentiment), Inkadinkado (damask); ink: ColorBox Black, Orchid Pastel, VersaMark; white embossing powder; other: ribbon, crocheted trim

Card Patterns sketch, and some gift sets

Hi gals, I’m so glad you’re here!
I’m still being very busy… BUT…! You know there always has to be time to get crafty for Chupa 🙂 It’s Sunday, and this means that new challenge at Card Patterns has just been launched yesterday. Yay!!
Let’s get on to the business, shall we?
We’ve got a wonderful sketch at Card Patterns this week, but wait until you find out who our sponsor is…. drumroll please…

Woohoo!! Isn’t it exciting?! For our super cool players, Hero Arts will generously donate two 4×6 Hero Arts Stamp Sets! Hop over to the CP blog to see which ones are these, ogle over the eye candy from the rest of the team, and link your card, if you wish to participate!

Now, here’s the sketch, and my take on it.
I used several different stamps from Hero Arts, including a clear polymer stamp set (owl, sentiment), and a woodblock rubber stamp (flourish). I’m SO in love with their wood mounted stamps, especially backgrounds - they’re HUGE, heavy, and stamp like a dream! 🙂

Photobucket

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill, Bazzill; paper: Venice pad from 7 Gypsies; stamps: Hero Arts; ink: ColorBox Bronze, chipboard frame: Collections; sewing machine; Glossy Accents by Ranger; edge distresser: Heidi Swapp

I also had a little session in the craft room this morning - I had to make two gift sets, for my sister-in-law’s birthday, and her 4 year old daughter, who just turned 4!
I had gifts for them prepared in the envelopes (for the *big* girl - gift voucher for a little pampering session in the beauty salon, and for the *small* one - a ticket to the Melbourne Zoo for the whole family). I’m sure they’re going to love it! 🙂

Firstly, let’s see the one made for my sis. I drew inspiration from the beautiful image of the Eucaluptus Body Lotion, that can be found in the Thymes shop: the theme for this week Inspiration Challenge at SCS - IC225.
Since it’s all about celebrating her b-day, I’m also entering the set into WT263 - Let’s Celebrate.

And here’s the cute set for the lil’ gurl. I used the C4C30 sketch, but changed the shape of the card to square, and flipped the round element, so that it suited my design.

And here’s the card in a closer view:

There’s also a card from yesterday, that I’d like to share with you. I made it for Tuesday Trigger: Butterfly Dreams, and Go-to Sketch Challenge. The card turned out to also have the colours suitable for CCEE1012 Inspiration Challenge.
