All stamped!

Hi folks, I’m happy to present you with my card for the Really Reasonable Ribbon today 🙂
It’s quite unusual, for I used no designer paper whatsoever. It’s all stamped… something that I do only occasionally, and mostly with CAS cards. This time I wanted to challenge myself. How do you think I managed? Check it out:

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; stamps: Papertrey Ink (Polka Dot Basics), Hero Arts (sentiment, damask), Tim Holtz (flower, bird) ; ink: ColorBox (Black, Vivid! (Brick), Grant (Blue); black & white gel pen; ribbon: Green/White Multi-Stripe Grosgrain; slide: Collections; other: button, twine

I used some beautiful Green/White Multi-Stripe Grosgrain, as an accent on the card. You can find it in the Really Reasonable Ribbon store at 25% OFF, only $2 per 5-yard piece!

I used a PPA48 sketch, rotated on the side to suit my idea:

Remember, that you’ve got until June 30th to play along in our second challenge, which is to use ribbon as a border!
Thank you for visiting, hope you have a fine start of the week! {{hugs}}

Very summery

Hi girls, I’m glad to see you here today! Are you ready to jumpstart another week with Curtain Call Color Challenge: {ACT 36}?
These colours just scream summer, and Stacey couldn’t have possibly chosen a more appropriate inspiration photo for this time of year (I’m sorry, fellow Aussies, while I pitilessly enjoy the second summer this year… hehe)
Check them out:

Here’s my interpretation… frankly, I should use strawberries instead of cherries (we’ve been stuffing our bellies with these obscenely in the last weeks)

A farewell sketch…

Hello, hello! I’m glad to be back, after quite a few days of being MIA. So much happened in the last week, that I wouldn’t know where to begin, and traditionally, I’m not having too much time on my hands, so I’ll stick to the absolute minimum in this post, I’m afraid…
I hope to be more elaborate, once back in Oz, but frankly - I doubt Zuzia will let me do too much! I’m sure she will be walking very soon, she’s more than ready, by the looks of it 🙂

This week marks the end of my term as a Card Patterns Designer. I can’t believe how quickly the time passed! I can’t begin to tell what pleasure and honour it’s been, to be a part of such talented Design Team. I will miss this time greatly. Thank you, girls, you’re the best!
This week’s fabulous sketch is again sponsored by Gina K Designs.
A delicious stamp set called Fine Furnishings & designed by our very own Nina Brackett, available at Gina K Designs, will go to one random participant this week.
Yippee!

Chocolate ruffles

Hooray, I can’t believe I’ve been blogging for four days in a row! Pretty satisfying, considering that I haven’t made a card in a full month’s time. Let’s say I’m surviving without my passion (and addiction, yes)… lol, although I catch myself thinking about it more often lately. I’ll have a lot to catch up with, when we come back home!

Today I’m bringing you my Monday project for Really Reasonable Ribbon. Once again I reached for ruffles - the technique that adds dimension to the project, like nothing else.
I used some beautiful Sheer Square Print in Pink & Brown, and finished it off with a bow made out of a Brown Wrinkled Ribbon.

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; paper: SEI; stamp: Papertrey Ink (Turning A New Leaf); ink: ColorBox (Bronze); pearls: Kaisercraft; ribbon: Brown Wrinkled Ribbon, Sheer Square Print Pink/Brown; string: Papertrey Ink; other: buttons

I’m glad whenever my card, prepared beforehand, matches on of the existing challenges. This time it’s two different ones that meet the criteria. Woohoo!
One of them is JUGS38 - Color Challenge, and the other - A Passion For Papertrey’s One Layer Challenge. This is certainly the most bulky one-layer card that I’ve ever made!

Thank you so much for visiting my lil’ crafty nook,
hope your week starts with a blast 🙂

Three-dimensional pot

Good morning my friends! Are you ready for another Curtain Call? You better do, ’cause the colours are - yet again- divine! See for yourselves:

PhotobucketAlign Center

See, I told ya’! 😀
I heard some saying that blue & green should not be seen (together), but there’s no truth to this whatsoever. This is one of the nicest colour combinations, don’t you think?
I hope you like my interpretation. I’ve been playing a lot with my 3-dimensional medium lately, I like the pizazz that it adds to the paper. The uneven layer of glaze hat I applied to the pot, made it look more convincing. The effect is yum-o!

Supplies: cardstock: Quill, Stampin’ Up!; paper: DCWV, digital; stamp: Stampin’ Up! (Bloomin’ With Beauty), Flourishes (Taglines); ink: various from ColorBox, Versa Color; border punch: Kaisercraft; rhinestones: Kaisercraft; sewing machine; dimensional medium: Glossy Accents by Ranger; ribbon: Swiss Dots Grosgrain Moss Olive

For a baby

Hullo girls, and welcome to another week at Card Patterns!
We’re being sponsored by the Stamping Boutique, and we had the opportunity to work with some of their cute digis - SO fun!

The Stamping Boutique is so generous that they will give away 5 digital stamp images or 3 rubber stamps of our randomly picked winner’s choice!

Here’s this week’s sketch - I’m sure you’ll love it, and so will your leftover scraps of paper! 🙂

I fell in love with this lovely Noah’s Ark, and made a baby card:

CP sketch 69
