Well, it’s been showing up occasionally for a while, but we had only two very warm & “springy” days so far, and today is the second one. It’s simply delightful outside!! The birds are signing literally everywhere, the sky is clear azure, and the air brings all sorts of fresh scents… There’s nothing like the first days of spring to me. They bring so much hope and happiness, and a mega heavy dose of strength. Yay for today!
Anyway, having a break from the sun (and Chuplet, who’s napping), I escaped to my crafty nook to whip up a few things. And here they are…
(you’ve got to forgive me for the terrible light - it may be a delight for the eyes, but it’s not good for taking photos!)
The first one is based on the SC300 sketch, and the colours of CC290 (Basic Grey, Daffodil Delight, Rose Red + a colour of choice) - both challenges are on SCS:
Supplies: cardstock: Stampin’ Up!, Grant; paper: My Mind’s Eye, My Little Shoebox; stamp: Annabelle Stamps; ink: Versafine (Onyx Black); watercolour pencils: Belgrave; blender pen; decorative chalks: Pebbles; pink marker; eyelets; pinking scissors
I also made a card with Kazan’s sketch 62 & the colours of CD78 - Daffodil Delight (again!), Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip.
I made the decorative edge, by tracing the shape and cutting it out.
It’s for my sister-in-law’s birthday, that’s soming in a couple of weeks.
Supplies: cardstock: paper: October Afternoon; stamps: Technique Tuesday, Grant; ink: Versa Color (Pinecone); watercolour pencils: Belgrave; sewing machine; crocheted doily; border punch: Martha Strewart (on the inside); string
This is how it looks closed:
Here’s the sketch:
Finally, I’d like you to take notice of my post on There She Goes blog today, where I put up my Dollar Find Friday feature, and showed you how to create a fun Halloween treat basket!
The direct link is HERE, and here’s how the finished project looks like:
Thank you for coming, and for all your amazing comments! Sending you warm, sunshiny hugs,
