Scrappy Saturday challenge - one hot mamma!

It’s week 2 of my designing for Wee Memories, and this week’s challenge is all about Paper Piecing!

We are sponsored by Tiffany Doodles, and the prize for one lucky winner is a $15 Gift Certificate to their store.

On my card, I used the Dancing Dress digital stamp, and I paper pieced it with the MME Stella & Rose papers (also shaded with Copics).

Supplies: cardstock: white, American crafts (black); paper: My Mind’s Eye (Stella & Rose); stamps: Tiffany’s Doodles (Dancing Dress), There She Goes (Domestic Goddess - sentiment); ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black); Copics; border punch: Fiskars; buttons; silk ribbon; paper flower; black pen; lace trim

Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #9

Hello!! Weekend’s here, are you happy? 🙂
Saturday is almost coming to an end, and we’re planning to spend the rest of it leisurely… movie night, perhaps? I’m so looking forward to it…. movie nights with my hubby are beyond AWESOME 🙂
Before I share this week’s sketch, let me thank you again, from the bottom of my heart, for creating with them. It’s such a joy to me to see in how many ways it’s been interpreted, and I love checking your blogs out! Keep them coming 🙂

So, this time I’m bringing you another square sketch. I hope you like them as much as I do… I know that some ladies don’t feel too comfortable with non-standard shapes, but even if you’re one of them, I’m hoping that you’ll step out of your comfort zone and tackle this little number:

Quite incidentally, I stumbled upon the Embellish Square Cards Color Challenge, after I drew the sketch, and so I decided that I implement these lovely colours.
I’m also playing with JAI66 - Just Add Flower.

I stamped the silhouette rose from the Layers Of Color Vintage Roses set, on the PTI Sweet Blush cardstock. The paper doily has been coloured with a yellow Copic marker.

Supplies: cardstock: PTI (Hibiscus Burst, Aqua Mist, Sweet Blush), white; paper: My Mind’s Eye; stamps: Layers Of Color; ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black, Angel Pink); Copics; sewing machine; Nestabilities Ovals; pearls: Kaisercraft; paper doily

A few things to keep in mind if you decide to use my sketch:
- You’re kindly asked to save the image onto your computer first, and if you make a card based on it, please link back to this post.
- Please share the link to your creation via the Inlinkz application, so that I can come and check it out. I would love to see what you did with it!
- The colours/elements mean nothing towards the card. All styles, colours and supplies, as well as slight alterations of the sketch are welcome.
- A new sketch and sample is posted every Saturday, but you’re welcome to play any time! Just leave a link in the comments section after Inlinkz widget closes.

I hope you’ll find the time to play along. Have fun with it!

AnnaBelle Stamps sketch - Bundle of joy

It’s time for another sketch over at the AnnaBelle Stamps blog. I hope you’ll like this one as much as I do!

Of course, I woudn’t be myself if I didn’t change this n’ that… I couldn’t resist turning it on the side (I’m so partial to vertical sketches), I also “redecorated” it a little 🙂
My card features one of the three new ABS stamp sets, that were designed by me - Baby Joy.

I paper pieced the pram, and shaded it a little with Copics… love the look!
The beautifully textured cardstock is also one of the new exciting additions to the ABS Store.

Supplies: cardstock: AnnaBelle Stamps; paper: unknown; stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps (Baby Joy); ink: Memento (Rich Cocoa), Versa Color (Celadon); Copics; Nestabilities Circles, Scalloped Circles; button; sewing machine; paper flower; ribbon: Papertrey Ink

CASE Study Challenge #37

It’s time for another fun week at CASE Study! It’s also the last portion of inspiration from our Muse for April, Silke Ledlow, how sad…
I enjoyed this month so much, did you?? Silke’s style is so charming, I would easily CASE half of her blog entries!
This week’s card is, yet again, simply amazing… check it out:

I was doing my best to keep the card simple… you be the judge whether I succeeded *wink*
The element that really caught my eye in Silke’s card, is the embossing, so I’ve got that. I also found some rhinestone flourish, to match Silke’s pearls. I replaced the punched border with a ribbon/baker’s twine combo, and replaced the rose with a stamped image.
As you can see, I also changed the colours - I made them to match the CR84FN25 challenge.

Supplies: cardstock: Artarama (aqua), white; stamps: Flourishes, Hero Arts; ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black, Rhubarb Stalk); Copics; flourish: Zva Creative; butterfly punch: Martha Stewart; aqua marker; ruffled ribbon: May Arts; baker’s twine; Cuttlebug embossing folder (Victoria); Nestabilities labels 14; edge distresser; sewing machine

My card is also a free take on the GS#84 sketch, and the colours of CR84FN25 are below as well:
