Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 100

Written by: iwona    12 Comments

Welcome to another week with Waltzingmouse sketch!! You know what?? It’s our 100th sketch and we’re hosting some BIG surprises to help YOU celebrate with us!

First of all, the challenge blog and sketch designs got a little lifting done, thanks to the wonderful Anja.
We are also increasing the number of winners! If we have 50 players we will give away two sets, 100 players = 3 giveaways, and so on for every 50 players
Lastly, we’re beginning to hunt for monthly Guest Designers. The Guest MM will create samples for the next 4 weeks and be awarded a special discount. The Guest MM will also receive a special badge so she can show off her status. So make sure you’ll take the plunge and play along, for there’s fun, fun, FUN to be had 😀

Let’s get on to my sample card, then. As you can see, I couldn’t resist the urge to rotate the sketch. Typical :/

The broader strip is almost entirely hidden by the stuff I piled over it, but it was stamped with the background builders from Nordic Spring, in Versa Magic Turquoise Gem.
I added some lace and string bow for the other strip, and layered paper doily and the label die cut with Office Supplies Shapeabilities®.
I stamped the flourish from Flourishes - Scallops and Dots set, and the butterfly from Nordic Spring, which I then coloured with Copics and decorated with Kaisercraft resin flower.
Lastly I added some flag banners (mmm… do you see the tendency in almost all of my recent cards??), one of which was stamped with the sentiment from Sweethearts.

I used the Color Throwdown colours again for this week. This palette is especially down my alley.

Hop over to the Waltzingmouse Sketch blog, to see more from the Mischief Makers… and make sure you join in and help us celebrate!
