Jay Gee’s Nook - Peace wreath

Hi guys! My posts are becoming brief, and that’s because I’m busy preparing for Zuzia’s 3rd birthday party! Commencing… let’s see, right now, as this post is launching! I’m hoping to take lots of pictures and get rolling with these scrapbooks… :)
In the meantime, let me share some Jay Gee’s Nook DT goodness.

I stamped the Ivy Wreath from Hero Arts, using Memento Bamboo Leaves marker. I’ve had some of these markers for a while, but somehow didn’t get to break them out for stamping, until now. I love the sort of raw look that they give, with subtle differences in colour intensity. Very pleasing to the eye :)

The sentiment comes from another HA set, Christmas Reindeer. The DP is October Afternoon’s.
The wreath was decorated with tiny rhinestones, as well as with a bow made of tinsel trim and topped with a Kaisercraft cabochon. Such a simple, yet cute design :)

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 116

Please find my TCM Blog Hop post below, thanks!

It’s time for a new Waltzingmouse Sketch! I’m late again (Duh! Sorry for that…), so I’ll make it short & sweet.

I used a variety of MME Miss Caroline papers, an October Afternoon die cut (page behind the sentiment & stuff), MME Kraft Funday stickers and glazed brad, and Spellbinders Stars Five & Floral Ovals.

The stamping is limited to the fabulous sentiment from the Back In The Saddle set. I added a little finish to the star, with Liquid Pearls.

Hop over to the Waltzingmouse Sketch blog, to see more from the Mischief Makers! Thanks for stopping by,

The Craft’s Meow September Release Blog Hop

We arrived at the end of The Craft’s Meow September Release, and today we’re holding a Blog Hop and a big reveal of all the goodness that’s coming your way! Will you join us?
If you made your way here from Amy’s blog, perfect! Otherwise you can start at The Craft’s Meow blog.

The Craft's Meow

We’re adding six new stamp sets to the TCM family this month.
You’ve got the ultimate chance to grab ALL SIX of them, simply by visiting and commenting on each stop in the hop!
The deadline to comment is 9:00pm PDT, Sunday, September 23rd.

I’ve been showing you cards all week, but this time I felt extra creative, and this post is all about mixed-media…
Let me show you first, a small altered canvas, with my beautiful daughter in a lead role. She’s turning *3* on Monday, my sweet little rascal :)

It’s a thick canvas, 15 x 15 cm (5.9 in sq.). Decorated with plenty of scraps (mainly Teresa Collins), Glitz Design die cuts/stickers/Glitzers, various flowers from Prima & Maya Road and a chipboard bird (custom inked).
I used the stamps from Good Times here, in a couple of ways. One is a sentiment label, that I decorated with white pen. The other is the little flags, that I converted the banner into.

The die cut is Chloe Stem from Memory Box.

I also altered a shadow box frame, using the beautiful leaves from Fall Blessings and the passage / lace border from Vintage Clocks.

The frame was raw wood so I antiqued it by painting it white, and then sponging grey and moss inks. I stamped the border with Provincial Gray Fresh Ink. The leaves were stamped with Memento inks (Rhubarb Stalk, Morocco, Peanut Brittle), and cut out. I arranged them together with two blooms (made with Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms and Core’dinations Glitter Silk cardstock) and some fern laser dies.

The inset is stamped in Provincial Gray, and mounted on foam tape over a piece of neutral MME paper..

I hope you enjoyed today’s post!
From here, jump over to Jean’s blog! Thank you for visiting, have fun hopping along with us :)

The Craft’s Meow September Release - Day 4

Welcome to the last day of September Release previews at The Craft’s Meow!!

The Craft's Meow

The last two sets that we’re introducing today, are Kaitlyn Ord’s Good Times and Karen Baker’s Golden Days. The latter will be your free gift this month, with any $50 purchase from the TCM Store!!

Let’s show a bit of Golden Days first, then! You will find a variety of leaves in it, some with fabulous swirly patterns on them. I’m head over heels for the sentiments in this set as well.

I stamped some of the leaves on kraft cardstock, with Memento Toffee Crunch. Two more were stamped in Teal Zeal and cut out. I added a Maya Road fabric bloom, Prima rose and button, Zva Creative rhinestone swirls and some metallic pearls to the arrangement. The flags were a part of Prima’s garland die cut, that I cut out and used separately.
The rest of the card is complete with a stripe of MME paper, novelty ribbon and a Kaisercraft rub-on border. The sentiment was stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa.

I used the colours of CR84FN63 on this card:

For the next card, I combined the new Good Times set, with an older favourite of mine, Telegram. I stamped the postage pattern from the latter in red ink, to make a background that I matted the front panel with.
The postmark is also from Telegram, stamped in Provincial Gray Fresh Ink and again in Memento Love Letter on kraft cardstock, to have the center cut out and popped up.

The arrow pattern and the speech bubble/sentiment, come from Good Times. The set is full to the brim with fantastic sentiments, perfect for your scrapbooking or Project Life projects as well!!

You can win the Good Times/Golden Days stamp sets, by leaving a comment on the TCM blog today!! You have until 9:00 pm PDT to do so. Now let’s all gear up for tomorrow’s new release Blog Hop tomorrow! I can’t wait for the big reveal :)

CASE Study Challenge #109

We’re up for another challenge at CASE Study, and with it comes a fresh portion of inspiration from Torico!

Yet again I love everything about that card, from the colours to whimsy… plus the layout, of course. I always seem to fall first for the layouts I love, when choosing cards for CASE Study :)
After turning it vertical, here’s what happened…

Thse adorable bears are an image from Torico’s Birdie Brown store, called Winter Bear 02.
I sponged around them and stamped the snowflakes (from TCM Let It Snow set) in Palette Fresh Snow ink. The sentiment comes from There She Goes set, Wonderful Winter Wishes.
The patterned paper comes from an oldie but goodie, Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses pad.

The Design Team prepared some beautiful samples today as well! Click on the links below to be taken to their blogs.

The Craft’s Meow September Release - Day 3

Hi guys, are we ready for more Release fun at The Craft’s Meow??

The Craft's Meow

Two new sets are introduced today, both designed by Mabelle and called Fall Blessings and Fall with Fibi & Lilly.
They boast your favourite feline characters and lots of pumpkins! lol

Here’s Fibi & Lilly, looking cute in their fairy dresses. Coloured with Copics and adorned with the stars from the same set. The papers are from… um, you guessed it. My Mind’s Eye 😉

More pumpkins on this card, this time from Fall Blessings. I made a clean & graphic scene, by cutting freehand some green cardstock and adding a sunburst, leftover from my last Silhouette project :)
The sentiment stamp was curved on the clear block (something I love about clear stamps), so that it rests on the ‘hill’.

You can win the Fall Blessings/Fall with Fibi & Lilly stamp sets, by leaving a comment on the TCM blog today!! You have until 9:00 pm PDT to do so. See you again tomorrow, for the last day of previews and two more fantastic sets!
