The Craft’s Meow October Release - Day 3

Here we are, at the third and last day of The Craft’s Meow October Release sneak peeks! Tomorrow brings the big reveal but before that happens, let’s see some of the two more sets, shall we?

The Craft's Meow

They’re called Holiday Foundations and O Christmas Tree, and were designed by Karen Baker and Amy Wanford (Aimes) respectively.

I took the row of stars from the first set, and turned it into a chain, or a banner if you will. I decorated them with silver rhinestones and blue pearls, and stamped the sentiment underneath. You’re gonna love the sentiments in this set :)

O Christmas Tree is full of trendy tree designs, with a couple of stamps to help accessorize them and great sentiments as well. I used three of the trees here, stamped tone in tone on SU! Certainly Celery CS. The middle one was embellished with a stamped star and a rhinestone, and I added the sentiment in red, to match.

You can win the O Christmas Tree and Holiday Foundations sets, by leaving a comment on the TCM blog today!! You have until 9:00 pm PDT to do so. Don’t forget to check out what other Designers have got in store for you as well :)
See you tomorrow, for the Release Blog Hop!

The Craft’s Meow October Release - Day 2

Welcome to the *Day 2* of The Craft’s Meow October Release!!

The Craft's Meow

We’re featuring today two more stamp sets today, Winter Fibi & Lilly and Christmas Cheer, both by Mabelle R-O.

With the first one, I made this simple tag featuring the cute cat and some Copic work…

I curved the sentiment on the acrylic block, it comes in straight in the set. I tied the tag with a length of Glitz Design tulle and some glittery, wired cord. I applied glitter glue to the grey coloured parts of the ornament, to carry the sparkle further.

And here’s a sneak peek of the Christmas Cheer set. The label and leaf stamped in Provincial Gray (Fresh Ink, love that stuff). Sentiment and bird in Memento inks, namely Summer Sky and Cantaloupe (twice).

Here’s the layout I used for this one, rs#34:

Dazzling

I hope you’ll locate my TCM release post below, in the meantime I’m back again, with a post that just couldn’t wait any longer…
I spotted an interesting (and tempting!) configuration of challenges this week, which begged for a certain card altogether and since one of them is about to finish soon, I made a quick card that was on my mind for so long :)

I stamped the Hero Arts Large Flower and sponged it with Distress Inks (Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, Festive Berries). The sentiment comes from another HA set, Many Birthday Messages. For the background I used the older Glitz Design Distressing stamps, randomly inked with Old Paper Distress Ink. The rhinestones are Doodlebug’s.
There is a distinctive gradient to that flower, but I just couldn’t get a good shot of it. This one’s a tad better:

Now, the challenges! Click on the links to be taken directly to the posts.

Thanks for stopping by :)

The Craft’s Meow October Release - Day 1

Welcome to the slightly late, but highly awaited October Release at The Craft’s Meow!! As obstacles arise, we continue to fight back and make sure you have a bunch of fresh TCM product every month :)
Within the four consecutive days, we unveil 6 new stamp sets, and I hope you’ll join us as we share the artwork and accompanying prizes with you!

The Craft's Meow

We have some new faces in the Design Team as of now, as well as two new Guest Designers, so please take some time to visit the TCM blog as well and read all about it :)

We introduce today the two stamp sets, Christmas Angel illustrated by Nina Brackett, and Hearth and Home by Elizabeta Kushner.

I gold embossed the angel from the first set, and used Copics to add some depth to the image. With the help of MME paper, some Distress Inks and dies from Spellbinders and Cheery Lynn, this shabby card came to existence :)

Like it’s true with all sets by Nina, there are some gorgeous, vintage sentiments included, and “NOEL” is one of them.
I helped myself to an inspiration from The Ribbon Reel:

The Hearth and Home set boasts some Christmas-related images and sentiment, the images being drawn in a fabulous, delicately looking lines.

I used glitter cardstock (Core’dinations) for the base of my card, coloured the bells with Copics and glittered the bow on the image as well. The banners are also cut from My Mind’s Eye papers.
I used the sketch from FTL213.

You can win the Christmas Angel and Hearth and Home sets, by leaving a comment on the TCM blog today!! You have until 9:00 pm PDT to do so. Also, please take the time to see all of the designers’ blogs, they’ve got some amazing artwork to share as well!
See you tomorrow, for more peeks :)

Jay Gee’s Nook - You give me hope

Happy weekend, everybody! I hope you’re enjoying yourselves :)
I’m back with another Jay Gee’s Nook post, and this time I made a tag.

I used the fabulous Memory Box die, Chloe Stem, and a sentiment from WPlus9 Sweet Nothings set.

The tag die used is from PTI and I cut two of them, from SU! Lucky Limeade and PTI Rustic White. I removed a little bit off the sides of the white tag, and die-cut the stem using the negative space for my focal point.
I flicked some Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze (Pewter) over the tag, before I joined them both together, and stamped the sentiment.

Embellish Paint Color Trends Challenge, is what I used for my colours/technique inspiration.

Hop on over to the JG’s Nook blog, for more from the Design Team! See you tomorrow,

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 120

Hi there! Here’s a new Waltzingmouse Sketch for you! Inspired by my super friend Clare, it’s a classic beauty and I’m sure you all have ideas brewing in your head straight away!

I used exactly the set that I did last week, Santa’s Coming To Town, with the bauble die cut with the corresponding dies from 2011 Heirloom Ornaments Nestabilities. I’ve been wanting this set for such a long time, and now that I have it, I don’t want to stop :)
There’s also a custom made background on this card, done with Off Beat Backgrounds.

Lots of distressing again, a touch of pink Copic marker on the sentiment panel, Kaisercraft lace and AnnaBelle stamps pearls.

ric#22 was the other inspiration behind my card today:

Visit the Waltzingmouse Sketch blog, to see more from the Mischief Makers and link up your entry! Remember that the rules have changed and you don’t need to use WMS stamps any more, in order to participate. However, only the entries with WMS images will be eligible for the prize :)
