The Craft’s Meow November Release Blog Hop

November release sneak peeks at The Craft’s Meow are over, and today we’re welcoming a Blog Hop with the full reveal of the stamping goodness!!
If you made your way here from Ivana’s blog, perfect! Otherwise please start at the beginning, at The Craft’s Meow blog.

The Craft's Meow

You’ve got the ultimate chance to grab ALL FOUR of the new sets, simply by visiting and commenting on each stop in the hop!
The deadline to comment is 9:00pm PDT, Sunday, December 2nd.

Here’s the first card I prepared for today, with Stitched Sentiments Two (sentiment) and Beautiful Shelf (half-doily). The sentiment was stamped in Memento Sweet Plum and filled in with Copic marker, the for the doily I used Elderberry.
I’ve also Echo Park papers here, some Washi tape and some bits & bobs that I found lying around on my desk.

This simpler card, makes use of Beautiful Shelf as well, this time I stamped and coloured the quilt, and ‘hung’ it on a piece of baker’s twine.
The sentiment is made up of the stamps from Zoom Goes My Heart.

I’m glad you popped in today! Next, you should make a stop at Jean’s blog. Have fun hopping along and good luck with prizes 🙂
Don’t forget that Stitched Sentiments Two is your November Gift w/ $50 purchase in the TCM Store!!

The Craft’s Meow November Release - Day 4

We’re wrapping the previews of the new The Craft’s Meow stamps today! I hope you like the November Release so far, today we’re sure to make your heart pitter-patter at the sight of the last, fabulous set!!

The Craft's Meow

It’s called Zoom Goes My Heart and was designed by Karen Baker. It’s so trendy and unique, it makes me squeal! Great for all those Valentine cards and more, for the men in your life

First up, I’ve got this simple number. The sentiments are mix & matchable, so are the images. The possibilities are virtually endless.

Here’s one more. The blocks remind me of music volume indicators, and that’s how I used them. It would’ve been better if I stamped three in a row instead of two, I only see it now. Too bad…

Each block was coloured with Copic markers, I hope I managed to convey the message… 🙂

You can win the Zoom Goes My Heart set, by leaving a comment on the TCM blog today!! You have until 9:00 pm PDT to do so. Remember to check out the other designers’ blogs as well!
We’re wrapping up the entire release tomorrow, with a Blog Hop! Please join us 🙂

CASE Study Challenge #119

This week we’re sadly closing the month at CASE Study, and with it we’ve got the last inspirational card from our November Muse, Angeline Yong. It’s been an exceptional month and I learnt a lot about composition and other design principles, by taking a close look at Angeline’s artwork. That girl is a gem 🙂

My favourite ‘powder’ shade of pink, along with the pop of colour and fantastic use of baker’s twine, captured my heart when I first saw this card. This sweet little thing brought my girl Zuzia to mind and I decided to make her a door hanger, using our current sponsor product (Twinkle Toes stamp set by Clearly Besotted Stamps). This set is a part of this week’s prize at CASE Study, what a treat!!

I cut the hanger with Silhouette Cameo, I admit with guilt that it was the first time in long weeks that I turned it on… now that the creative spark is back, I’m hoping to give it some workout again!
I used baker’s twine as well, made it into a bow on the little ballerina’s skirt, by threading it through the paper. I also added a little rhinestone to the girl’s hair. Zuzia loves her new door adornment 🙂

Neon Christmas

I noticed a new challenge on the Moxie Fab World today, The Keen On Neon.
I never knew how to handle neon colours, and for years I considered them kitschy. Until I noticed the trend, that is - which as any trend may be more or less valid in one’s point of view, but always should be considered as a powerful tool. Or, the mustache trend. Doesn’t necessarily turn me on much either, but I say if people can get a tad silly because the trend allows them to do so, I say why not 🙂

I’m getting a tad silly here too, with this extremely neon-y Christmas card. I gave the two gorgeous stamps from Hero Arts their first inking, which is condemnable since I won them in a HA Contest a good few months ago 😛
I’m entering this card into their November Contest as well (Bring on the Bling, Embossing), hope that fact will bring me some luck *wink*

Okay, so I own close to nothing in terms of crafts, that is of neon colour. I made my way around it by using PTI Raspberry Fizz for my card. If any of their colours that may be considered as such, that’s surely the one!
I embossed the gorgeous Dotted Snowflake with Teal You What EP from Gel-A-Tins, and topped it up with 2012 Snowflake Pendant Shapeabilities® & MME glazed brad. The shape was die cut from Core’Dinations glitter cardstock, the one truly neon piece on this card 🙂
The sentiment comes from the Miracle Of The Holiday set.

I hope you like it 🙂
Thanks for stopping by! Join me for a CASE Study challenge in a couple of hours and then the last day of TCM November release previews shortly afterwards!

The Craft’s Meow November Release - Day 3

We’re rolling in with the third day of The Craft’s Meow November Release!!

The Craft's Meow

Another fabulous stamp set from Nina is what we’ve got on the menu today. It’s called Beautiful Shelf.

Fantastic thing about the said shelf is that it works equally well as a standing as well as hanging unit, and I used it as the latter, hanging the lovely banner from its ‘hooks’.
The shelf was paper pieced and I added the flourish from Inspired By Audrey set. It looks like it belongs there, don’t you think? 🙂

The rest of the stamping consists of the new half-doily stamp and the sentiment from Lovely Labels 14 (which I managed to stamp hideously crooked… sigh)
The paper is an old piece of October Afternoon DP (hoarding this one like it’s nobody’s business!) and
the die cut is done with Spellbinders Stars Five.

You can win the Beautiful Shelf set, by leaving a comment on the TCM blog today!! You have until 9:00 pm PDT to do so. Remember to check out the other designers’ blogs as well!
See you again tomorrow, for the last day of previews.

The Craft’s Meow November Release - Day 2

Hi sweets, here we are at Day Two of The Craft’s Meow November Release!! Did you enjoy yesterday?

The Craft's Meow

Today we are featuring another set from Nina Brackett’s ‘sewing’ line, Stitched Sentiments Two.

Do you remember the first set? I paired my sentiment with another fabulous set, Stitched Flowers, coloured both with Copics. I also added the butterfly silhouettes from Fly Free and shaded the ‘ground’ with Versa Color inks.

(Tip: I keep a bunch of old Versa Color cubes that still have some ink, especially for the purpose of sponging. I use the cubes directly on paper, the ink blends fabulously. When the cube starts to dry out, I tap it lightly against another pigment ink of similar colour (e.g. Versa Magic) or Distress Ink and keep going.)

You can win the Stitched Sentiments Two set, by leaving a comment on the TCM blog today!! You have until 9:00 pm PDT to do so. Remember to check out the other designers’ blogs as well!
See you again tomorrow 🙂
