The Craft’s Meow November Release - Day 1

Welcome to the November Release at The Craft’s Meow!! I hope you the wait will pay off and you will have lots of fun browsing the Design Team’s blogs for inspiration, and then shopping :)

The Craft's Meow

First off, let me introduce you to the super cute Valentine Wishes set by Mabelle.

I stamped the sentiment and one of the girls, in the opposite sides of the frame. Coloured the image with Copics and added a wee bit of bling. Very simple, yet sweet card :)

You can win the Valentine Wishes set, by leaving a comment on the TCM blog today!! You have until 9:00 pm PDT to do so. Also, please take the time to see all of the designers’ blogs, they’ve got some amazing artwork to share as well!
See you tomorrow, for more peeks :)

Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #84

Gosh! I’m effectively posting this on Monday morning, though it’s still Sunday by my blog standards… however I look at it, I’m LATE again!
I admit that I did it on purpose, as (surprisingly) the card and sketch were done two days beforehand, but with the other postings I wanted to space out the content just a little… I hope I didn’t mess up the plans of those of you who were hoping for some sketch fun this weekend… :(

As usually, the sketch will run for two weeks. I hope you’ll have fun with this free-flowing design!

Hmmm, what have we got here? Teresa Collins Fabrications paper, Glitz Design Whatnot, the jar cut out from Cosmo Cricket’s tag, Maya Road chipboard butterfly (inked), PTI ribbon; SU! brad, Spellbinders banner die and the sentiment from Waltzingmouse (Sweethearts). Lots of possibilities with this sketch. I was in a ‘scrappy’ mode so I kept adding (so glad for my mojo relief, hope it’s not temporal!), but any style would look good with it, methinks :)

If you happened to miss any of my weekend’s posts, please scroll down. I’m happy to see more life injected to my bloggie and it’s going to get even more awesome this week, since later today we’re coming in with the November stamp release for The Craft’s Meow! Tee Hee!

A few things to keep in mind if you decide to use my sketch:

- You’re kindly asked to save the image onto your computer first, and if you make a card based on it, please link back to this post.
- If you upload your card to an online gallery, use the code SSC84.
- Feel free to share the link to your creation via the Inlinkz widget, so that I can come and check it out!
- The colours/elements mean nothing towards the card. All styles, colours and supplies, as well as slight alterations of the sketch are welcome.
- A new sketch and sample is posted every other Saturday (occasionally Sunday, if I’m running late), but you’re welcome to play any time! Just leave a link in the comments section after Inlinkz widget closes.

Jay Gee’s Nook - Hugs

Happy weekend, everyone! I hope yours too is full of sunshine :) I’ve got another Jay Gee’s Nook card to share with you this morning, here we go!

I combined here the fabulous Sunny Blooms stamp from Purple Onion Designs, with the Paper Smooches sentiment (Chit Chat).
The image was watercoloured (I used watercolour paper as well), sprayed with various inks, spiced up with white gel pen and distressed with Pumice Stone Distress Ink.

I’m again playing with the awesome sketch from CAS(E) this sketch!

Hop on over to the JG’s Nook blog, for more from the Design Team!
See you soon, I hope :)

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 125

I hope you’re off to a great weekend, crafty friends! Perhaps you’ll make time to join us for a new Waltzingmouse Sketch as well, it’s a truly fabulous layout this week.

Here’s my take… I sew around the PTI Fine Linen base, added a few scraps of October Afternoon papers (oldies but goodies), and various WMS stamps.

The stamps are: the label from Very Vintage Labels No. 25, cut with corresponding Nesties; butterfly from Nordic Spring, white & pearlescent embossed on vellum and layered with punched butterfly & Prima flower; and the sentiment from Sweethearts.

Visit the Waltzingmouse Sketch blog, to see more from the Mischief Makers and link up your entry! See you a bit later, for a new sketch of my own!

Welcome back, mojo

Please scroll down to see my CASE Study post below as well!

I didn’t say much on here, but I’ve been struggling to find a spark of creativity, in what seems like weeks. You know the kind of disappointment, when you spent your usual (long) time on something, only to discover that it’s nothing like you envisioned it in your head.
In most of my ‘crafty life’ I guess I was pretty lucky, never having have to look for inspiration for long. Well, until this year, that is. I guess it’s been the magnitude of stuff that life threw on me in the past months, distracted me to the point that other things had to let go.
I was a bit worried that I might be again losing the passion, but luckily I had an unexpected surge of creativity today, and I admit that it made me crazily happy. Whew! Feels good, man!
Anyhoo, the result are these…

PTI (Delightful Dahlia) and WPlus9 (Filigreed Frames) stamps, Copics and white gel pen, October Afternoon paper.
Sketch from FTL217 and colour inspiration from ric#24:

And one more…

From bottom layer up: Pink Paislee paper; MFT Die-Namics tag (and again PP paper) with Inkadinkado sentiment stamped on it (Reach For The Sky, the butterfly also a part of the set); October Afternoon doily stamp; My Mind’s Eye banner die cut; Kaisercraft crocheted doily & Prima wooden button with button twine bow; butterfly stamped on PP.

Inspiration this time, comes from Tuesday Trigger:Frame By Frame:

Be sweet,

CASE Study Challenge #118

I’m glad we’re all enjoying this month at CASE Study, judging by the number of awesome creations :) As you know, our November Muse is Angeline Yong and that’s her artwork that’s doing magic for all of us… here’s this week’s inspiration card!

Again, I was taken with everything on this card. The ‘fullness’ of this one-layer stunner, perfection in placement of each stamp, the glorious colours… my sample is therefore pretty self-explanatory :)

I only decided to use a different layout, and let my leaves spill out from the top of the card. I used the Golden Days stamp set from The Craft’s Meow, and various Memento & ColorBox inks.
(There’s a wee bit of Waltzingmouse Festive Foliage as well, in the form of the red berries).

Please visit the the Design Team, for more inspiration! Click on the links below to be taken to their blogs.
