Pure balm of friendship

It seems to be my second post today, I hope you’ll check out the CASE Study card below as well, if you missed it!
I’m sharing a one-layer today, people! Moreover, I love it… It doesn’t happen often. At all. I satisfied my love for dimension/texture, by debossing the frame. It was a heck of a job to stamp the label (Waltzingmouse Rescue Remedies) in two colours, but the effect is well worth it. Don’t you love the subtle effect that the white framing provides for the sentiment? I also added some more white accents, with a Signo white pen.

My inspiration comes from Muse Challenge #19, in particular the super lovely card by Michelle below. I also coordinated the colours with Tuesday Trigger: Feather Weather, just because I can’t get enough of this gorgeous image. Sigh…

Hope it tickles 🙂

CASE Study Challenge #143

It’s Thursday and you know what it means - a good reason to pull out your craft supplies and have fun playing along with us at CASE Study! You wouldn’t want to miss this week’s challenge, being the last one to feature the artwork of our magnificent Muse, Maile Belles. I hope you fancy the inspiration card just as much as I do 🙂

Adorable, right? Feathers seem to be a returning trend these days and it’s the one I’m very happy to see. Seriously, how can you not love these precious, delicate things? I love the bold look of the colour-dipped little wood veneers, but on my sample I decided to play with negative die cutting and some Distress Inks. The feather was cut with my Silhouette.

Best wishes with dogwood blooms

Second post alert! I also shared a scrapbook earlier today, feel free to check it out 🙂
Unexpectedly calm evening (eye of the storm??) resulted in a card. One that I like *quite* a lot. Something about the striking navy & red combo, eh? Works its magic every time 🙂

I’m jumping right at the fresh Monday Mood Board, and combining it with a matchy CFC102 challenge. Double score with two of my fav challenges 🙂

Hope you like 🙂

Smitten

So… I made this little scrapbook last night, of Julka. It looks better in real life, once again my skills failed me when trying to take a photo of a layout. Getting tired of this ongoing issue… anyway. Here it is 🙂

Once again, because of the nature of my scrapbooking (lots of scraps and small pieces from different manufacturers), I figured that putting together a list of products would take me more time than what it’s worth. If you’ve got any questions, feel free to shoot me an email! Cheers 🙂

Mama Elephant stamp spotlight: Soiree

I’m very happy to join the Mama Elephant Design Team this month, for the brand new stamp release, and today I’m placing their lovely Soiree stamp set in the spotlight. Perfect for birthdays and all sorts of celebrations, this set has many awesome images that can be mixed and matched to your heart’s content.
I created the fun little tag below, stamping the hearts from the set in a variety of inks, and highlighting some of them with a white Signo pen and dabs of Glossy Accents. The sentiment is borrowed from the Smitten set.

How about this birthday card? I created the stripes by stamping the back of a long strip stamp from a different set, then added the layered cake and wording. Who says you can’t have a green cake icing?? 🙂

Lastly, there’s this card, using my favourite stamps from the set - banner with inserts, and spruced up with some texture and dimension.

There you go, I hope you’ll like them 🙂 See you again soon!

Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #97

I almost forgot about the fact that I’m due with another sketch on this weekend! Luckily enough, Julka decided to take a nap (quite unusual for her, at this time of day… er, night) and I was able to aid that with an impromptu craft dash. However hurried (still hoping that I’m going to finish this post without interruptions, just as well), I had a jolly good time and I hope the card shows it 🙂
Let me show you the sketch first… again it has a vertical panel that I really don’t use on my cards any more, but which somehow snuck into yet another layout!

No stamps were harmed while making this card, instead I indulged on the embellies! Confession - I might be a bit addicted to Kaisercraft collectables these days… 🙂
Hope you’ll have fun with the sketch!!

A few things to keep in mind if you decide to use my sketch:

- You’re kindly asked to save the image onto your computer first, and if you make a card based on it, please link back to this post.
- If you upload your card to an online gallery, use the code SSC97.
- Feel free to share the link to your creation via the Inlinkz widget, so that I can come and check it out!
- The colours/elements mean nothing towards the card. All styles, colours and supplies, as well as slight alterations of the sketch are welcome.
- A new sketch and sample is posted every other Saturday night (American EST time ~ or around mid-day Sunday Melbourne time), but you’re welcome to play any time! Just leave a link in the comments section after Inlinkz widget closes.
