Welcome to the biggest surprise Blog Hop event you’ve ever heard of!! (am I right??) I’m super happy and thankful for taking part in something so grand and so beautiful. If you made your way here from Cristina’s blog, you’re heading in the right direction. Please refer to the master list on the Moxie Fab World blog, if you’d like to join us from the beginning.
Today we honour Cath Edvalson, the Trends Editor for Paper Crafts Magazine and the visionary behind Moxie Fab World. Cath is leaving the industry (as you can read HERE) and I dare say, leaving a gaping hole as well for there’s absolutely no one I can think of, who had a such a tremendous impact on so many people. Paper crafting community lost a visionary and it just doesn’t feel the same any more without her. The magnitude of this event certifies just that. We love you, Cath!
I thought it only appropriate, to pick one of Cath’s posts on MFW, as the inspiration for my card for her. One of my favourite columns was Oh My Moxie Fab! and I saved many of her finds ‘for later’. I picked the one below (link here), not just because I’m crazy about it, but my wild guess is that it was one of her personal favourites as well. We share the love for country, folk, homey stuff. I could live in her Pinterest boards… just one more thing to add to the fabulosity of her self
I wish I could add a photo of myself and her, at the end of this post. Alas, I don’t have one ’cause sadly we never had a chance to meet. This whole ‘global village’ concept is such a bittersweet one. I got to “meet” the sweetest, most precious friends with the help of the internet and my life would be so much poorer without them. Yet, I wonder if I’ll ever have a chance to give any of them a big ole’ hug.
Cyber or not, it makes me ridiculously happy to know that the outpouring of love today will be tremendous, and how yet again we prove to be one amazing and supportive community. Big thanks to the peeps who worked hard behind the scenes to make it happen (you know who you are!!) and most of all, my endless gratitude to my friend and mentor, Cath. Big smooches and ONWARD!
Next stop in the hop is Shanna, enjoy
