Hi gang, ready for a new sketch? This one’s super simple & edgy and I can’t wait to see what you make of it!

I added a cute character to the lot, from the Penny Black Cute as a Bug stamp set. I’ve been in a colouring mode and I love it - the only downside of it is that it’s a serious time-eater. The last image I coloured (last night) took me about three hours to finish but I’m darn happy with the result and I can’t wait to share on Thursday
There’s at least one die on the market that would work well with this card but alas I have none of these and so I hand cut mine. Easy peasy

Welcome to another CASE Study challenge! I’m especially partial to this week’s inspiration card from our Muse, Joni Nina Andaya, for not only it’s clever, unique and gorgeous, but it also features one of my favourite stamp sets from PTI - Fancy Folk Art. Not surprised, are we? FOLK, people. Mmmmm

I feel like I haven’t done this beauty justice. AT. ALL. No mojo, perhaps. The card started well but it got off hand somehow. Plus, today is apparently not a good day for taking photos and I don’t know why, and it bugs me. Anyway. I hope it won’t scare you off and if I find a minute, I would love to give this challenge another chance.

I stamped the elements of the floral arrangement with HA inks but then I thought it looks too flat and added some shading with Copics. The splatters I thought as well would help lift the design but now I wish I left everything as it was :/

Woo-hoo! You have no idea how much I’d love my various blog features to grace these pages more often, but it is what it is and when it does happen, I’m a HAPPY chicken! Today I bring you another colouring tutorial. I had so much fun with this little guy from the Penny Black Ahoy stamp set, I’ve been dying to colour him but alas it had to wait. There’s a couple more images in this set and I swear I won’t rest until they’re all coloured (well, at least the boys!). LOL

The layout is based on Retro Sketches #106:
I hope you’ll enjoy
I actually had an accident along the way, with a marker leaking ink and leaving a nasty pool on the paper right on the coloured image - these sadly happen often but I’m determined to salvage the work when I can, and so I did now. I’m keeping it real, LOL!
To save you the details, I suck at refilling markers because all those I attempted to refill in the past, do leak. Badly. I’m not sure what the problem is but I assume it may lie in over-stuffing them with ink. Any ideas, please share!
Yesterday was a good day to break out my long yearned for Pedal Pusher stamp set from PTI. I’m so late to the party, I guess I’ll always be since my wish list is longer than Nile but whenever a coveted set finally meets my paws, I’m truly a happy camper. I searched for some jump start inspiration online, settled for Retro Sketches #105 & Muse #58 and got busy.

Oh my gosh, those dies! *shoots stars from eye sockets*
I thought I’d make everything coordinate nicely and I settled down at large of all-PTI. I love how the wee little hearts in the set, made up for a pretty (confetti? bokeh?) feature as well. I seem to like adding it to my bike cards. Go figure.

Why hey there, it’s CASE Study time! With a new challenge comes another stunner from Joni Nina Andaya, our March Muse - won’t you looked at this distressed heaven!

One of my favourite effects involves creating radiant backgrounds with Distress Inks, and then spicing them up by splattering with water. I had a clear idea in my head for the card I wanted to make but once I created my background (using the said technique but different colours), I had to talk myself back into covering it with a die cut plate, it looked so lovely. I’m glad I stuck to it ’cause the effect is quite lovely - and I redeemed myself by smuggling more of that awesome background into the sentiment circle

The background die is from Penny Black and it’s called Interlocking. Same for the sentiment, it comes from the PB set called Kind Words. The Distress Inks used are Mowed Lawn, Evergreen Bough & Iced Spruce.

- Many exciting things are happening at StampNation, this month and beyond. We’ve got awesome sponsors lined up for our challenges for many months in advance, and this week’s challenge is sponsored by Tattered Angels! In response to a new exciting line of their products, the theme of the challenge is doodling. Here’s a peek of my card:

JOIN US and join in the fun!!
I’ve a quick post to share tonight; I’m not entirely happy with the photos as I took them in artificial light but tomorrow might be busy and I wanted to get it cleared just in case. I needed some “me” time tonight, play with a couple of challenges (listed below the card) and give my stamps some love. So here goes

I watercoloured the yellow circle, stamped the WPlus9 wreath & sentiment (Fresh Cut Wreaths and Valentine Wishes), added a cut out bird (Love Birds) and splattered some Tattered Angels glimmer mist in Summer Glow. Then I cut a bracket edge in the panel (Bracket Edge Duo Die-Namics) and affixed it to the front of the SU! Coastal Cabana card.
The inspiration for this card was, a FTL283 sketch…
The colours only from the Fusion #5 challenge…
And Virginia’s View #1, which asks for watercolouring.
See you on Thursday! xx
