CAS(E) this Sketch guest!

Hi there, it’s my second post for today! Click HERE for the CASE Study card, thanks!

I have a pleasure to be guesting at the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge blog today, for a great new sketch.

I took it quite literally, down to the hexagon frame which I cut and embossed with two sizes of the Hexagons Nestabilities, and adhered on top of the window cut with the Penny Black Interlocking Creative die. For the focal point, I stamped and fussy cut WPlus9 Spring Blooms, and the sentiment is a combined WPlus9 Hand Lettered Hello die and Hand Lettered Hello stamp. I finished the card with some Pretty Pink Posh 4mm Sparkling Clear sequins.

I hope you’ll come play along!! >>CLICKY<<

CASE Study Challenge #191

Hi there! Today’s CASE Study challenge is special, because we launch it with a couple more new Teamies who I’m very proud of and happy introducing! We also enjoy a new inspiration piece from Wida, below. What’s not to love?!

I took inspiration from the white-on-white elements, die cutting, pop of colour and vellum. I cut the background with Hero Arts Triangle Background and left some triangle pieces inside. I cut the PTI tag from vellum and layered an old firm favourite, a stamped Hero Arts Hydrangea on top. I stamped the image in light grey ink and coloured using aqua brush and Twinkling H2O’s.

I finished the card with a natural twine bow, a die cut sentiment from Studio Calico and Flat Matte Silver sequins from Neat & Tangled.

I’m joining the Hero Arts sketch contest again, with sketch #2.

Check out the blogs below for the Design Team’s takes on the challenge, or visit CASE Study for the full reveal.

Altenew feature

ETA: Shoot! I scheduled this post for one day earlier than I should. The post on the Altenew blog will launch at 9am EST on the 14th. Stay tuned!

Hello, I’m on the Altenew blog again today! I’m sharing a few fun one-layer cards with matching envelopes, here’s a peek:

CHECK THEM OUT HERE!

I also have a bonus project here on the blog, a bit more of my usual style… a card featuring Altenew Magnolias for Her. I paper pieced them with a subtle gradient My Mind’s Eye patterned paper and added dimension by layering a smaller fussy cut piece over the other. I also accented the veins with glitter glue.

I covered the Neenah Natural White card front with another MME paper and made a layer of Simon Says Stamp Woodgrain cardstock, which I covered with spray ink splats and wood veneer Tiny Stars from Studio Calico.

Thanks for looking, see you tomorrow for another Guest Designer post, this time for a challenge blog :)

CASE Study Challenge #190

Hi, friends! I’m running late today so let’s get down to business. This week at CASE Study we have another gorgeous inspiration piece from Wida Miller. Love the grey and yellow combo!

I took the colours, clean lines and die cutting for my inspiration. I used the brand new Birds & Branches Frame die from WPlus9, cut it in PTI Smokey Shadow and backed with True Black. I also die cut some flowers and the birds from the same die set and added the sentiment from the retired (still love it!) Filigreed Frames WPlus9 stamp set, which I stamped with PTI Vintage Cream ink.

Check out the blogs below for the Design Team’s takes on the challenge, or visit CASE Study for the full reveal. It’s the last challenge with our ranks thinned down so much, we’ll introduce our new DT Members this coming Sunday so stay tuned for the announcement on the CASE Study blog!
