Hi guys, I’m back today with more of WPlus9 December Release, and today I’m concentrating on the awesome set that I can’t get enough of, Sparkle & Shine. The stamp set comes with a variety of hand-written sentiments in fantastic fonts, as well as images of gems of various sizes. Released are also accompanying Designer Dies - Sparkle & Shine which provides dies for the gems, and Sparkle & Shine Trio which gives you the matching die cut words. All three products can be mixed to create a variety of designs.
Here is my first card; I created the sentiment by selectively stamping and embossing in silver one of the sentiments, and pairing it with the word from Sparkle & Shine Trio, which I die cut from glossy cardstock. I used the beloved Pretty Little Peonies stamps and a variety of WPlus9 inks to create the flowery design, and I also stamped some faux splatters using the Ink Splats set.
It’s a one layer with a clean form that doesn’t need any frills to stand out.
On the card below, I fussy cut another one of the sentiments and used it to put a lovely finish on this collage style card. I paired it with some designer papers and a butterfly I also fussy cut, this time from a journaling page (MAMBI).
In order to make a banner from the sentiment, I cut the lengths from the ends of the smallest banner in Banner Trio Designer Dies, rounded the bottom corners and tucked under the sentiment I previously adhered to the butterfly.
The last card I’d like to show you, is another minimalistic design where I attempted creating a big diamond ring, hanging from a thread like a wreath. I die cut the ring using circle dies, die cut the diamond and embossed it in gold, and again created the sentiment by selectively stamping a part of it and pairing it with a die cut word from the coordinating die set.
I tied a knot on the ring, added a connecting thread and tucked the other end underneath the panel, and embellished it with some clear sequins for added sparkle. Thanks for joining me today, I hope it tickles 🙂
