Jay Gee’s Nook - A new addition

Written by: iwona    22 Comments

I’m sharing a card made for Jay Gee’s Nook blog today, also ticking a couple of fun challenges while I’m at it! One of them is Muse Challenge #13, with Marion’s card below that gave my layout a kick-start…

Another one, a challenge that’s quickly becoming my favourite, 10 Minute Craft Dash #16 with the colour palette below:

My take on the two, with some yummy WPlus9 products, Folk Art Florals stamps & dies and the sentiment from Heartfelt Mix.

Traditionally, here’s a snapshot of what I started with… cheated a bit by preparing ahead not only my card base, but the white card layer as well :) Also, I ended up using pink & purple Memento inks for the sentiment (and the flowers that I decided to add as well), instead of Versafine (stamp set grabbed later, so not pictured).

I made it in a pretty neat time, but I probably wouldn’t make it without the help of the pre-cut paper…

Tune in for some more crafty goodness, by visiting the Jay Gee’s Nook blog! See you later, have a wonderful weekend :)

  1. LOVE, LOVE this Chupa - FAB stamping, die-cutting & design!
So glad you joined in the fun at the 10 Minute Craft Dash - glad to see it’s becoming your favourite challenge too :)

  2. LOL - this ‘challenge’ isn’t a challenge for you anymore sweetness, you need to kick it up a notch! Hehe. Methinks even if you did this blindfolded you would still end up with something flawless and amazing!! :-D

  3. This card is so pretty! I have the Folk Art Florals set, but have been resisting the urge to get the matching dies. My dear, you are NOT making this task easy! I’m so glad that you linked up the ink pads you used- I’m in need of a medium purple and this one looks great. Love my Memento inks, so I’ll have to get this one next time!

Thank you for linking up with the 10 Minute Craft Dash. I agree with the other girls- you are such a pro at this challenge now! FABULOUS job, as usual!

  4. Love the combination of stamped and die cut leaves and flowers; the little pair of nesting birds is sweet. The whole card has a “Pennsylvania Dutch” feel to it.
