You might know that a fantastic event was held on the Waltzingmouse Stamps blog last week, called the Flower Show and hosting the inspiration provided by some of the most awesome WMS customers out there. Right now, WMS is holding a CASE competition, where you’re asked to pick one of the creations showcased previously and CASE it.
There will be one random winner chosen from all of the entries and that person will win FIVE sets of their choice from Waltzingmouse Stamps! Moreover, Claire will also be picking three ‘stand-out’ entries based on what catches her fancy at the time ‘Stand-out’ winners will win a gift voucher for the store to the value of £15 ($20). How ’bout that??
I encourage you to pull out your WMS stamps and join in! You can find all the info HERE on the WMS blog.
I decided to join in as well, with a very quick card (squeezing it just in, on this BUSY day), inspired by my terrific and ultra-talented friend Taheerah. Her card (found below) captured my attention the moment I saw it. That’s possibly the most creative use of the Folk Art Medallion stamp set, since its release. You can click on the photo, to be taken to the corresponding post on her blog.
I wanted to achieve a similar look, only substituting the tree for trailing tree branches, and for that purpose I utilized the branch stamp from Asian Gardens. I stamped the flowers from the same set that Taheerah used in the same rough, unfinished style, and using various Brilliance inks for a touch of shimmer. I used gold for the leaves, also channeling my inner Taheerah
The branches and sentiment (from Compact Sentiments), were stamped with Distress Inks. A touch of them also on the branches, where I added a few tiny flowers from the Eat Cake set.
To add to the untamed look, I added some splatters of Glimmer Mist in Marigold. Now it’s your turn, show us what you’ve got and good luck with the prize drawing

Oh Chupa, this is beathtaking… so beautiful, like a painting! You did such a beautiful job with Taheera’s inspiration, and I LOVE the way your flowers cascade down your card front!!
