Hello sweeties, I’m back with more Mama Elephant new release projects! My previous post was a bit of a disaster, granted that I was preparing for it in a great haste and being exhausted after *interesting* couple of days with my newborn… That being said, I hope this one proves a tad better!! I’m still quite tired and I lack the spark for creating *sigh*, but I think my mojo decided to be less elusive this time around… shall we see?
Today I decided to focus on the Filigree stamp set - what a stunning piece of artwork these stamps are! Here I created an ombre effect using the lace border stamp. It lines up perfectly and stamps beautifully as well. I carried the romantic, feminine accents throughout the card, by adding some lace, pearls, a bow made with twine and a ‘bouquet’ of a paper rose and some die cuts.

 

For my other card, I pulled out some Memento markers and coloured in the large doily stamp selectively, trying to create gradients of colours as well. I love the fun watercolour effect!
The ‘love’ word was stamped on top of the doily, and I used a white gel pen to fill the inside of the letters with white. No masking needed! The banner is a Spellbinders die.
