July 2013 Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

Silence for half a week and then three posts in a day… sounds about right! I’m such an organized crafter… not. Well, the fact that you’re still with me, may just account for something, in particular that you don’t mind as much… ? 😀
I realized quite late in the evening (and in the midst of trying to calm down my younger’s aching belly) that today is the July PTI Blog Hop, and decided to cut down on yet another of my sleeps. I swear one of these days I’ll regret being such a stamping freak… yet I reckon before that happens, I still have long years of happy (and sleep deprived) crafty evenings so sentiments aside and let’s get cracking! Here’s the awesome colour combo that I chose from the Blog Hop options… quite a tricky one but I fell in love with the saturated colours.

I combined the Berry Sorbet cardstock with the MME patterned paper, and I dug out another oldie (probably my first ever PTI stamp set as well), Blooming Button Bits. I fussy cut them (no matching dies here) and after adhering to the bottom of the DP panel, I removed whatever pattern was below the branches to form the flowing border.
Before adhering the panel to the card base, I stamped the sentiment in two different inks and added some red foliage for added depth (from Turning A New Leaf). I quite dig the result!!

Hope you like, thanks for stopping by :)

  1. Chupa, I see a long flowy dress from the pattern and colors you created here! Gorgeous! Using the brightness in the background makes it a standout. If this is a result of sleepless nights, must say, for you sleep isn’t a necessity!
