Hello! I have to start by apologizing for the late post. It’s been a classic “one of those”… Considering that I’m already running overtime writing this, how about I get straight to the merit! I hope you like my sketch, it’s based around what’s made to be an ombre / gradient background and I’d really love to see your takes on this! Remember that it’s not only inks / cardstock & dies that can help you achieve that effect, if you love paper like I do then you probably have an ombre sheet of paper tucked somewhere too That would be my next choice!
(of course, feel free to do whatever else you wish with that panel… it’s only a suggestion)
Today I have a super talented and the sweetest friend helping me with a sample - Stacey from Stacey’s Stamping Stage! Pop in her blog to see what she cooked up!
Here’s what I did… an ultimate one layer! YAY! I masked the rectangle and sponged it with distress inks, flicked some water over it and stamped the branch (Memory Box) and sentiment (Technique Tuesday). I also added a couple of tiny pearls to the branches.
I was inspired by some additional challenges. I took a pretty literal inspiration in Therese’s card in the Muse Challenge #30. Then I stumbled upon the latest CAS-ual Fridays challenge with the perfectly fitting colours. Funny stuff, I did want to do the inked background from the beginning, without looking for additional inspiration, but these two just made working on this card extra awesome

I have this sentiment stamp
thanks for inspiration ♥
Your bold orange high sky makes the sentiment really pop. Also having the foliage enter the card from outside the background is a great idea!
Love your vibrant colours and the offset silhouette.
Sensational card dramatic and lovely.
Beautiful card Chupa! I love how you’ve stamped your image going out past the inked panel.
