I did a scrapbook & I like it! YAY! (I wonder how many times I’ll have to repeat this mantra over a new layout, to start believing that I actually can do these things… snort!). This one features my youngest, Julka’s tiny toes which I’m completely and unconditionally in love with. I’m seriously considering having a professional photo taken of just these cuties - anyone who held a baby must know what I’m taking about
I decided to do a bit of doodling, I love the look of it but I’m always cautious of releasing my inner artist, in fear that I’ll spoil the effect with a single careless move. I’ve been looking at a lot of art journaling again lately and I’d be delighted to start a journal myself. Maybe, just maybe… *wink* Anyway, check it out!
The base paper comes from Glitz Design‘s Color Me Happy collection. I cut it back to an A4 size (metric) and used the subtle grey pattern for the ‘canvas’ of my design, while cutting two narrow strips from remaining paper and sticking them at the top and bottom, the opposite side up.
The embellishments come at large from an Echo Park (Beautiful Life) and October Afternoon (Sidewalks) sticker sheets. I did the doodling with a regular black pen (Uniball) and added the colour with Elmer’s Painters in Sherbet Swirl (these are acrylic paint markers).

This is fantastic, you have inspired me to do a layout! Love the bright colours
