Did you know that the World Card Making Day which happened yesterday, is a formal opening of the Christmas card making season? It means that it’s now totally cool to indulge ourselves in our Christmas supplies, and I know that we all love them so much! Only a couple of days ago I was crossed with myself for breaking out my stuff for the 1st Holiday card of the year, but it’s a different story now, no?
So. I *might* have some cute Penny Black stuff which needs some inky love, and therefore for the twelve consecutive weeks, right up until Christmas, I’m going to share a Holiday card created with one (or more!) of their stamp sets. Ready?
This beautiful image is a Pine Wreath stamp, and I inked it in black, fussy cut and mounted over the polka dot embossed background, for a dramatic look. I paper pieced the bow with a piece of DP and adhered a baker’s twine bow on top of it. The simple sentiment comes from Yuletide Greetings, and the background is created by clear embossing the flourishes from Dancing Deers, on a piece of kraft cardstock.
I’ll see you next Sunday, for another installment! Be sweet

Beautiful card! I love the pop of color that the red ribbon adds. Happy World Card Making Day!
Love that wreath in black and white. I’ve used it with Fall colors and now I know it can be Christmas too!

Your card is just lovely! I love the embossed angled white cardstock! And yes, break out the Christmas stamps! I made my first Christmas card yesterday too! Love your work!
Such a stunning card - the detail on that wreath is amazing and I love the jaunty modern slant you paired it with!
