Hi guys! I’m totally hijacking my blog, while I should be waiting patiently for the CASE Study post to launch in two hours… I’m aware of the fact that this post might get buried under the next one quickly and therefore go unnoticed, but life’s crazy here lately and I find myself forgetting things, I just want it off my head… plus, frankly, I’m more than a little giddy that I had a chance to finally give modelling paste a go
Remember how I tried gesso on my mixed media page recently? Well, it worked, sort of… but heck, the paste is SO much better. I got myself some gold and silver metallic paste as well, and hope to put them to a good use for some Christmas projects. IF time allows 😀
Anyway, I wanted to do a falling snow scene, and since I don’t have any suitable template or stencil, I cut one with my Silhouette. I can see in my future, cutting plenty more different templates, to have on hand. Much cheaper than buying the actual stuff!
I’m playing with the current Make It Monday - Inlaid Die-cuts. Love this technique and it was fun to use it again. Plus, the In The Meadow dies (which I used again in this short period of time…) were perfect for what I had in mind.
The birds and hare, were cut from glitter paper. the patterned paper is from Lawn Fawn. Please note that the ‘mound’ is not a PTI die, I cut it by hand. Easy peasy job. One more inspiration for this card, the Muse challenge #41, with the beautiful card by Janet.
Oooh I have seen some examples in a stamp store of the paste, though was afraid, if you say go ahead it works good, I am in!!! Top of my list now as I love stencils, however want to try more than sponging, this is a GREAT post!!!
I can see your modelling paste smile all the way from here LOL! Love how you used it for the falling snow and lovely inlay of the tree
This is gorgeous! I must give that modeling paste a “go”, one of these days!
This is so beautiful! I bought the paste a while ago and was nervous about using it on my cards but oh my, so easy and fun! LOVE!!!
Wohoo! You’ve joined the ‘paste club’! Not quite sure how that sounds but you get the idea LOL. Awesome isn’t it and you’ve created a stunning beauty with it too
Love the modeling paste instead of an embossing folder … and brilliant to do the inlay. Thanks for playing in the Muse Card Club challenge.
Very sweet card. Love the paste & the touch of silver. I might have to break down and buy that PTI set. Thanks!
Your silver critters add just the right pop to your pretty holiday card with the falling snow & “inlaid” tree. Looks like I might have to check out modeling paste one of these days. Love my PTI In The Meadow stamps & dies ~ great card!
Wow that modeling paste gives such a great effect! Love your card!!!
Love the texture of the modelling paste and the soft colour scheme! Thanks for joining us at Muse this week!
Great job on the modeling paste snow for your fab inlaid tree holiday card, Chupa! Darnell
Great card! Love the texture and did not recognize the die at first, creative thinking.
This is stunning! I need to get myself some of that paste!
Stunning card, Chupa. I love everything about it!
Turned out beautifully - great job on the mound too
Beautiful!!! I really love the look and the sparkle bunny! Great texture with that paste!
