Feathers and folk flowers

Written by: iwona    14 Comments

Just an informal post today :) I haven’t played with a challenge for a while, and the current CAS(E) this Sketch captured my attention so I gave it a go. I didn’t even try to be original here. True to the sketch, feathers they are! Never enough of these sweet little things.

I used the super gorgeous stamp set from Mama Elephant, Fair Feathers. I stamped the feathers over the background created by sponging Distress Inks in Victorian Velvet, Wild Honey and Crushed Olive and sprinkling some water over to create resist pattern.
The splatters were also stamped with the same set, in HA Soft Granite Shadow Ink. HOORAY for realistic looking splatters that you can ’embellish’ your card with safely, without worrying about the random look of misting!

One more card from me today, created for my dear friend and shared on FB, but I wanted you to take a peek as well - especially that I finally broke into the wonderful PTI Fancy Folkk Art stamp set and had an absolute blast :)

Tomorrow I’ll fix you with the belated Sketchbook Saturday sketch, and it’s a sweet CAS thing that you’re gonna love :)
