I’m madly busy trying to organize myself for the upcoming craft retreat with friends, but I couldn’t pass up on the yummy Papertrey Ink March Blog Hop! The theme is high gloss and boy are there possibilities!

I was gearing up for some serious heat embossing, but I didn’t want to risk waking up our poor teething girl with the noise, in the middle of the night. Instead I pulled out Glossy Accents and applied it generously over the jar from Friendship Jar stamp set, for a realistic look that I adore! I even inked the edges of the jar twice, so that there’s a faux 3D look to it. I DIG it :)
For the blooms, I used my PTI all-time favourite - The Sweet Life. I also stamped the subtle background with the ’tile’ stamp from Lovely Layers.
For the finishing touches, I flicked some Glimmer Mist straight from the dispenser and added a subtle shading under the jar with W0 & W2 Copic markers.

You can see the dimension in the glossy jar better here:

Hope you like it! Thanks for visiting, time for me to hit the hay… it’s 2am, OY! :)

  2. This is a stunning card Chupa! The Sweet Life Roses are one of my favorite floral sets too, and your choice of color for multi-layered stamping is beautiful! The Glossy Accents are perfect to shine up your jar so as not to wake your sleeping baby. Very nice take on the challenge!
