25 Days of Christmas Tags Guestie

Written by: iwona    52 Comments

Hello, good to see you after a long-ish break! Today I’m pleased to join my talented friend Tracey McNeely for a Day #4 of 25 Days of Christmas Tags feature on her blog.

Along with the daily inspiration from the talented guests, Tracey offers prizes from:

  • Reverse Confetti
  • Clearly Besotted
  • CAS-ual Fridays
  • Neat and Tangled
  • Paper Smooches
  • Lawn Fawn

You put your name in the draw by leaving comments on Tracey’s blog (see her blog for the details), plus I’m offering you another chance to win, by leaving a comment on this blog post.

You have until midnight on November 26th to comment and on the 27th I’ll randomly draw one name and forward it to Tracey who will put it in the prize draw. The winners of the whole event will be announced on the 28th. Sounds good? 🙂

Here is my contribution! …a set of three tags I made for my personal use for Christmas, with a variety of new and older WPlus9 product.

They’re all made using the same colour scheme and similar techniques - a subtle two-tone sponging (the pink fades into shimmery silver which was hard to capture on camera) and lots of die-cutting in action. The techniques are pretty self-explanatory so I’ll let you enjoy the photos without boring you with the text 😉 See below for the individual shots and ‘lists of ingredients’.

See you again soon, good luck with the drawing!

  1. You’ve still got it! Beautiful tags - love the distressed backgrounds, and the way you used the positive and negative of the snowflake! Oh and that red nose on Rudolph!! So sweet!

  2. Chupa - wonderful to see you back, and with a set of tags that are incredibly beautiful, with the theme woven through all three in such a refined, eye-catching fashion. Gorgeous. The snowflake tag…oh my! Swooning…

  3. The colour scheme for this is just gorgeous!! Love all of the tags and they look really lovely as a set. I just received the ‘joy’ die cut and can’t wait to try it out, might have to make a tag!!

  4. Chupa what is not to LOVE about the gorgeous trio of tags you created today for my 25 Days of Christmas Tags event. Reading through your comments I am not along, they are so festive and creative, the new WPlus9 die cuts look fantastic and your ink blending is perfect. Thank you so much for joining me my friend! xoxo

  5. Such gorgeous tags, Chupa! Your two tone sponging looks awesome! I think your camera did a pretty good job catching on subtle change of the colors. By the way, I’ve never owned Brilliance ink pads. But it seems like it works perfect on blending the colors. Does it work like a Distress ink? Thanks for sharing!

    • Thank you, May! I don’t think there are any inks out there that would work quite like Distress Inks but that being said, Distress Inks don’t hold the monopoly for successful blending 🙂 Brilliance inks come in subtle shades and their texture is light and creamy, so they’re very easy to blend. Mind you, I only own four shades so I can’t support my claim over the whole collection. Give them a go, they’re like an inkpad already mixed with Wink of Stella - fantastic shimmer and a perfect coverage 🙂

    • Thank you so much for the reply. Brilliance ink pads sounds awesome! I especially love the creamy texture and shimmer effect. I think I need to get a couple of ink pads first to give it a try. Thanks again, Chupa!

  6. BEAUTIFUL tags Chupa!!!
LOVE the shaded and how you have used the positive & negative portions from your die cut snowflake - THANK YOU for sharing your CREATIVE INSPIRATION!!!

Your comments make my day!
