Better late than never

Hi there! I admit that it hurts to see this place neglected so badly, after months of blogging on the daily basis, and almost mass-producing cards at the same time *wink* On the other hand, we’re having so much fun in Europe, and we’re catching up on the precious time with the family.
It’s been madness here, and I hardly ever find time to write up a post. Zuzia is like a tornado - having discovered how to crawl, she’s all over the place! I can’t believe how much she changed, since we left Australia. She’s developing so rapidly, and watching her is a delight.
We must have taken a few hundreds photos so far. Duh! I promise that I’ll share some very soon :)

But! On to the business. I’ve got my Color Dare card for you (CD69 - Tempting Curry Bays)
You might wonder, why so late, and why not on Tuesday. Well, Riley’s life has treated her very harshly lately, and we had to wait with the newest challenge for a couple of extra weeks. It’s finally up though, and it’s SUPER!
The colours are Tempting Turquoise, Crushed Curry & Bermuda Bay, and here’s my contribution:

CD68

I’m entering this card into WT275 Raving on Ribbon. It’s no secret that I LUV me some ribbon!
Have a lovely day,

Ugh!

This post was ready to be posted since yesterday afternoon, and I couldn’t do it for various reason until now… the interned was acting funny, and then it stopped working this morning. I hate it when it happens!

I’d like to share with you, what I made for Tuesday Trigger: Poolside Inspiration. The given photo is so familiar to me - being a Landscape Architect. I miss designing gardens, it’s so much fun… With a little tot around, I had to say bye-bye to it for a while though. Not that I’m not keeping myself entertained in the meanwhile… LOL

Madness!!

It’s not a stamping madness that I’ve got in mind, unfortunately - although you know that I’m here for a reason, and thus there are some new cards coming 😉 It’s madness at home, that I’m having at the moment! :)
My Chuplet girl entered into yet another stage of her wee life, and decided that she wants to have mommy by her side absolutely ALWAYS. Don’t get me wrong - I LOVE it!! I cherish every single moment that I get to spend with my precious girl, but she’s been relatively “self-sufficient” so far, apart from the recent teething adventure *cough*…
Yet, in the last week or so we’ve been through so much new exciting stuff, and I discovered so many new emotions, that I feel like a different person.
It’s been still only six months since she was born, but when I look back at the time before pregnancy, it seems like ages ago! Being a mum is such a MIRACLE!!!

Now as I promised, there will be some cards :)
First of all, I’ve got to share with you my DT sample for the most recent Color Dare (CD61 - Basically Pretty Green). This is a gorgeous combo, and I must sadly admit, that I totally wasted it… at the time that I was preparing the card, my mojo decided to take a walk, and did not come back before I was done… unfortunately, being a nasty procrastinator, I had no time to try again.
I used FTL83 sketch:

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; paper: Grant; stamp: Papertrey Ink (polka dots); ink: ColorBox Black; sentiment sticker: SRM Stickers; decorative scissors: Fiskars; other: buttons, twine

I was feeling mad at myself about that card, so I used these lovely colours on another one, that I was making for OCC’s sketch for this week (OCCSC8).
I had to make a get well card, and I wanted it simple, not to let the form surpass the content. My neighbour found out recently that she’s got cancer, and had a surgery arranged quickly. The good news is that it’s only a very small one, and there shouldn’t be any problem removing it completely, but still it must have been a shock for her to find out…

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; paper: Grant; stamp: Hero Arts (flowers), Grant (sentiment); ink: ColorBox Black; glitter: Ice Stickles by Ranger; decorative chalks (for shadowing): Pebbles; other: ribbon, button, twine

I’m also having two new, non-DT cards. One is for Mojo Monday 131 (finally played, after a long break - previous sketches were looking too fancy for me…), Color Throwdown #85, and FTTC59 at Flourishes. The latter is to use a faux *something* technique. I took my change (for the first time) on faux silk. So fun!!

The next one is for CC263: Creamy Pink Durangos (ok, so it’s not the most obvious colour combo, but it’s not that difficult either, me thinks…) . The sketch is MTSC66:

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; paper: Basic Grey, Grant; stamp: Stampendous; ink: ColorBox Orchid Pastel, Blush Rose; rub-on sentiment: Fynmark; glitter: Ice Stickles by Ranger; other: button, twine, ribbon

Okie dokie… I must run now - hope to see you back some time soon! {{big hugs}}

Bold colours & a plethora of bling!

I’ve got some quite colourful cards to show you today. They were also quick & easy to make - it’s something that I learned to appreciate lately 😀

Firstly, the time has come for the new Color Dare! Riley gave us a fun, spring-y palette to play with… see for yourself!

Fun, no? Here’s my sample:

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; paper: digital, Grant; stamp: Papertrey Ink (sentiment); ink: Grant Red; green marker; rhinestones: Kaisercraft; glittery flowers, buttons, twine: stash

If you’d like to have a go at this luscious challenge, link your card in the Color Dare blog, and who knows, you might find yourself in the Top 3!

Here are also a few of my newest babies.
First one goes to Sketch Challenge 272 (SC272, I tweaked the sketch some…), and Color Throwdown #84:

Supplies: cardstock: Quill, DCWV; paper: Grant; sentiment sticker: SRM Stickers; stamp: Stampin’ Up! Baroque Motifs, the flower is of unknown source; ink: StazOn Jet Black; watercolour Pencils: Belgrave; blender pen; glitter: Ice Stickles by Ranger; rhinestones: Bella!; paper piercer

The other one’s for FTTC58 (what an awesome sketch!), and CAS58 - Chocolate Chip Mint. I agree that my design is not exactly an essence of CAS, but it’s definitely a clean look, and it was really quick to make!

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; paper: Grant, October Afternoon, Basic Grey; sentiment sticker: SRM Stickers; paper flower design based on the template by Hot Off The Press; paper piercer; Cuttlebug & Spellbinders Impressabilities Flourish; button, twine: stash

Voila! How do you like them? Thank you so, so much for each and every visit & comment - you know you rock! :)

It’s time for Color Dare!

Another post of mine tonight, and it’s going to be a quick one (again)…

I’d like to show you what I did with Riley’s colour picks for this week (CD59 - Tempting Chocolate Celery). What a perfect inspiration for a spring-themed card, no? And who wouldn’t like that purse?!
Since my card is distinctively spring-like, I’m entering it into PPA32 - A Theme Challenge - Spring.

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; Bazzill; stamps: Craft Affair (flowers), Flourishes (sentiment); ink: Versa Color Lagoon Blue, Green, Kaleidacolor Cappuccino; watercolour pencils: Belgrave; pearls: Kaisercraft; trim: stash

I also made another quick card this afternoon, after I got inspired by Nichole Heady’s Christmas card that she whipped up for Moxie Fab World’s 1st Blogoversary. Good grief, is that chick seriously talented or what?!?
At this time of year I’m not in the festive mood (…yet *wink*), but I DID want to use the same colour scheme - quite surprisingly it totally works for a flower card! :)
The challenge that I prepared it for is TLC263-3/08/10-Very Vintage.

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; Bazzill; stamps: Hero Arts (background), Papertrey Ink (flowers, sentiment); ink: Vivid! Brick, StazOn Olive, Grant Olive; clear embossing powder: Hero Arts; border punch: Fiskars; buttons, ribbon: stash

So, what do you think about these combos? Fun, huh? If you feel like giving CD59 colours a go, hope over to the Color Dare blog and link your card!
Have a good evening/night/everything…
