Hello from Europe!

I had an awfully long and exhausting trip (Chuplet decided that she doesn’t sleep on the plane, and does some good ole’ crying instead… imagine 2o+ hours of surviving this!), but we’re finally in England, and fully recovered :)
I suppose it’s time to share some recent DT work with you! Here we go…

Firstly, I’ve got an OCC sketch (OCCSC17) - last one for the time being, unfortunately… I didn’t have time enough, to prepare any more. What a shame… :/

Now, here’s just a little update on my weekly challenges. I’m a little busy bee tonight, so without fursther ado, I’m presenting you new stuff….

Jen Meyer designed a wonderful sketch for OCC this week (OCCSC16), which I paired with CTD93. If you’d like to play along with us, make a project using the sketch, then go to the OCC blog to link it, so that we can all see it!

In case you’re wondering how it came from the sketch to the sample - I used some broad trim for the vertical panel, and some burlap for the small horizontal one. I know it’s a loose interpretation at best, but you know me 😉

I’d like to show you a simple card today, using some yummy ric-rac and Peach grosgrain, both available in the RRR store.

Encircled

Good evening folks! I wasn’t sure whether I’d find the time to spend card making tonight, but as you can see - I managed :)
It’s been a pretty intense couple of days, with Chuplet being over the top cranky, and I find that what I’d use most now is a good night’s sleep. Unfortunately, the lil’ one doesn’t give me much hope in this regard *rolls eyes*
Also, my mojo decided to take a break from work tonight…which is fair enough, ’cause I tend to force it to work over hours, lol.

I’ve got a sample for this week’s terrific OCC sketch(OCCSC12) to show you:

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; paper: October Afternoon, page from a notebook; stamp: Inkadinkado; ink: Color Box (Ice blue), Versa Color (Olive, Bark), Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Pumice Stone); Cuttlebug machine & Swiss Dots embossing folder; sewing machine; ribbon: Flourishes; letter stickers: Carolee’s Creations; other: buttons, string

Isn’t this sketch great? If you feel like playing along, make a card on the base of the sketch, then click the link to the OCC Weekly Sketch blog in the sidebar or here, and link your creation!

There’s also a card that I made for the TPE63 sketch, and the colours of CTD89. I wasn’t convinced whether I want to play around with these colours at first (I like bolder, more defined combos, and I’m not a big fan of these shades of blue), but then I told myself that if I played only with the challenges that suit me 100%, the very nature of them would be lost. Get to step out of the comfort zone sometimes, right?
I admit that I used more shades of blue though. I didn’t have the relevant cardstock, so I used this DCWV stack, that happens to have the right colours.
No stamps were harmed in the making of ths one - I cut out and popped up some flowers & leaves from the DP.

Two cards, two styles

Hi gals, good to be back! I had a break from stamping yesterday, and only a quick two-card session today, but I can feel my mojo is quite low, and I probably should use some break. I’ll see how it goes tomorrow, but knowing myself, I’ll try to create something anyway. lol

I’m here primarily to share with you the brand new sketch at OCC Weekly Sketch, and my take on it. The sketch happens to be very similar to this month’s Paper Crafts Go-To Sketch Challenge, so I’m also entering my card there.
I hope you find the time to play with us this week - isn’t this a fun one?

OCC sketch… and more

Hi girls, hope you’re all doing well!
It’s Thursday, which means that it’s time for another fun OCC sketch (OCCSC9)! I’d like to share with you the sample that I made with it. I have this ridiculous amount of cream satin ribbon, that’s been lying around for ages. After seeing this sketch, I decided that I’d make a nice round frame from cardstock, and wrap the ribbon around it. It came out nicely, don’t you think?
