Getting Gifty!

Hello and happy Tuesday!
The challenge at There She Goes this week is Getting Gifty (TSG79), and our host is Natalie! Her’s how she describes it:
About this time of year I start thinking about fun little ways to let family and friends
know I am thinking of them. It could be as simple as a little bag of candy with a handmade tag,
or a handmade card…there is really no bad way to tell someone you care :)
So my challenge for you is to create something ‘gifty’
It doesn’t have to be elaborate. It can be a tag, gift bag, ornament, card…pretty much anything goes :)
What an easy challenge right!

I say it’s definitely a fun one! I decided to make a card that holds a bookmark in a pocket - it’s a perfect gift for just about anyone in my family :)
I stamped the images from the You’re A Hoot! set, on OA journaling card (my bookmark), and popped the owlies up on my pocket. Aren’t they adorable??

This project is also my Guest post today on the Really Reasonable Ribbon’s blog, I hope you’ll check it out! They’ve got a great Design Team, daily inspiration, fun challenges, and yummy ribbon in the RRR store :)

I also hope you’ll take some time to play with our challenge. The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!
To be eligible for the giveaway, make something ‘gifty’ and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (11-08-10).

One more thing before I leave you to it - there’s some totally great news for all you TSG fans out there!
We have among us our very first TRENDIE! What’s a Trendie? A Trendie is a Guest Designer. So, without further ado, I am tickled pink to welcome Christine Okken (otherwise known as ChristineChreations)!! Christine is an amazing artist who will surely bring her own flair to the team. Pop over to her blog and leave her a little welcome!

I’ve got to run now, it’s family time :) I hope to see you sometime soon… thank you for coming, and take care!

RRR challenge - Fall

Hello again! I hope that you’ll scroll down to see all my posts for today :)

It’s time for another challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon blog, and this time it’s all about Autumn.
We’re being sponsored by Robyn’s Fetish, and I’m using their digis: image (Fairy Queen) and paper, on my sample. I’ve also got some Ivory Crochet Lace and a double bow made from Sheer Iridescent Peach Organza, both from the RRR store.
I must admit that I’m not at all satisfied with how this card turned out, but hey… bad card days happen, riiight?

Karen gave us the freedom of choosing one of her past sketches to play with this week, and this one is what I chose. There would be many more that I’d easily call my favourites, but this sketch suited my idea for the moment :)

The colours come from Our Creative Corner - I took some freedom with the interpretation :)

The card also goes to C4C56 - Bling.
Thank you for visiting, and I hope you’ll have a fabbo day!!!

Group post

Hello!
I made a couple of quick cards this morning, that I’d like to share. I don’t have much time, so I’ll reduce babbling to zero, and just show them to you. Sounds fine? :)

Firstly I’ve got my Monday project for Really Reasonable Ribbon, featuring one of the best products in the store (in my humble opinion…) - silk ribbon in Rose.

Photobucket

Supplies; cardstock: DCWV; paper: Bella Blvd; stamp: Hero Arts, Papertrey Ink; ink: Versa Color (Fresh Green, Pinecone); Rose Silk ribbon; punch: Martha Stewart

The card is inspired by these beauties by CAKath, who’s this week’s Featured Stamper for FS184.

I also took Card Patterns sketch 77,

Photobucket

and combined it with C4C50 (which is to use music on a project) on this card:

Photobucket

Supplies; paper: October Afternoon, Grant (Grace Taylor Vintage Collection); stamps: Stampendous, Impress; ink: Versa Color (Sky Blue), ColorBox (Black);glitter: Ice Stickles; sewing machine; fabric flowers; buttons; string; burlap; letter stickers: Fynmark

Lastly, here’s my rather loose interpretation of CPS180, along with the gorgeous colours of Color Cue {7}
