Super simple

Hi there! I’m jumping in for a very quick post, for there will be another one coming right after this, for There She Goes brand new challenge & a little sneaky peek :)

I had a little crafty time this afternoon, but I think my mojo might be a bit low today… therefore I didn’t want to risk anything heavy-layered just yet, and went for CAS. And I mean, super CAS… Oh no! Look at this one-layer card for example…

Supplies: cardstock: Envelope Solutions pre-scored card; stamps: Stamp-It; ink: ColorBox (Maroon), Versafine (Onyx Black); yellow glitter

For those wondering… I mainly put that DP in the background to bring out the very subtle shade of the yellow glitter on the card, but the fact is that I’m drawn to this way of photographing, and I wanted to give it a try myself :)
Do you know how to achieve that glittered frame effect? All you have to do is to stick some double-sided tape and pour loose glitter over it. Remember to wipe your card with an anti-static pillow beforehand though, otherwise you’ll gave glitter all over the place.

I made it with JUGS60 colours (hence the need to bring out that yellow :)). I was also inspired by this beautiful card by CriminalGrace (aka Sarah), this week Featured Stamper (FS198)

There’s also this shabby card…

Supplies: cardstock: Stampin’ Up! (River Rock), Papertrey Ink (Rustic Cream); stamps: There She Goes (Autumn Mosaic, Bountiful Blessings); ink: Versa Color (Paprika, Pinecone, Umber); border punch: EK Success; edge distresser; golden cording; crocheted flower

The colours are taken from CR84FN5, and the sketch is FTL117:

One more…

…post for tonight, that is. I will make it sweet & short though, for I should really be in bed by now :)
I’ve got two cards for you, first one featuring some TSG goodness (Bountiful Blessings set):

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: American Crafts; paper: Basic Grey (Pyrus); stamp: There She Goes (Bountiful Blessings); ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black); watercolour pencils: Belgrave; blender pen; sewing machine; decorative eyelets; string; button

It’s my CASE of a fellow Trendsetter Angela’s wonderful card, for FS197. I really liked the layout, so that’s what I followed. I chose the rich colours of OCC‘s current challenge, to compliment the Autumnal theme:

I also made this shabby somethin’ (I told you I’ve got a crush on purple lately…). I coloured the rose with Twinkling H2O’s, but unfortunately it’s not the kind of shimmer that’s easy to ‘catch’ on the camera.

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: American Crafts; paper: Basic Grey (Kioshi); stamp: Papertrey Ink (Year Of Flowers: Roses), Prima; ink: Fabrico (Wisteria), Distress Ink (Pumice Stone), Versa Color (Umber); Twinkling H2O’s (Sweet Lavender); sewing machine; edge distresser; lace trim; string: Papertrey Ink; button; letter stickers: Carolee’s Creations

The challenges for this one are: Passion For Papertrey’s Scrapalicious (when it comes to lace, I hoard even the smallest lengths - firstly because I wouldn’t bear parting with the precious things, but they come handy more often than any other scraps - like on the card above), WMSC23 sketch, and recently discovered Mona’s CR84FN4. Mmmmm…

Alright! That’s definitely enough for today (a very busy day for me in many regards…), and I’m looking forward to getting some sleep, before tomorrow brings some more crafty goodness. Tomorrow is the last preview of Annabelle Stamps November release, that you don’t want to miss! See you then…

Sketches, sketches…

Good evening, friends! I’m having another late night, doing a never-ending catch up 😉
I played with a couple of sketch & colour challenges, and I’d like to share my cards with you. Ready?

The first one has oh-so-yummy colours. It looks like a chocolate biscuit itself… doesn’t it? :)
I did something with it that I’m normally avoiding, but lack of time made me combine two sketches. By coincidence, MTSC98 and SC305 look almost like mirror images. I merged various elements from both:

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: American Crafts; paper: October Afternoon, DCWV; stamps: There She Goes (Ice Cream), Lil’ Inker Designs; ink: StazOn (Timber Brown); Copic markers; watercolour pencils: Belgrave; blender pen; brown marker; Cuttlebug embossing folder (Swiss Dots); button; string: Papertrey Ink

The colours are taken from CC295: Peach Espresso Craze.

Next is a punny SFYTT card :)

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Stampin’ Up!; paper: Crate Paper; stamp: Imaginisce; ink: StazOn (Timber Brown), Versa Color (Umber); watercolour pencils: Belgrave; blender pen; border punch: Fiskars; letter stickers: Fynmark; buttons; string; satin ribbon

This time the colours come from CTD117:

Lastly, here’s this shabby Christmas goodness, amde for the first November Verve sketch (VLVNov2010). The ornament is not a die cut - I drew & cut out the shape myself, then stamped & distressed it.

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Papertrey Ink (New Leaf); paper: Basic Grey (Jovial); stamps: Stampin’ Up! (Baroque Motifs), Rubber Stampede (crackle background), Annabelle Stamps; ink: Versa Magic (Spanish Olive), Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Frayed Burlap); edge distresser; chipboard snowflake: Maya Road; glitter: Reeves; wrinkled ribbon & baker’s twine available here; button; sprinkles: Annabelle Stamps

I hope you like these! Thanks for looking, and good night :)
