Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 82

Written by: iwona    7 Comments

Hi folks, ready for another Waltzingmouse sketch??

It’s another winner in my books, I love it!
My card is inspired by the Polish folk art - something that I dig a lot these days.
The intricate art of paper cutting, called Wycinanki, is a big part of our culture, and is nothing short of mesmerizing!

I can only imagine the hours of work put into each one of these pieces…
The common elements of each image are stylized flowers and roosters or other birds. The design is also almost always symmetrical.

So here’s what I did with the inspiration… I used five different stamp sets on the card.
The birds are from Asian Gardens, the lime flourishes/dotted circles from Very Vintage Labels No. 10, the “knitted” shapes from Nordic Winter, and the stars from Compliments of the Season. The sentiment comes from Rescue Remedies Additions.
