Hello and welcome to August Flourishes Beautiful World Tour!!
Once again, it’s time to get those passports ready, grab a cup of coffee and prepare for take off as once again we prepare to travel the world and be inspired by talented girls from all parts of the globe!

If you do a little globetrotting with us and stamp our passports (leave us a comment), you could WIN A FREE FLOURISHES STAMP SET!! The catch is, you don’t know which country is going to be this month’s vacation spot (chosen blog) so leave a comment on each one by July 31st for your chance to win.

If you’ve jetted in from Aleksandra’s’s blog then you have arrived at the right destination. If you haven’t, perhaps you’d like to start your journey back in Florida at the Flourishes Blog so you don’t miss any of the inspiration along the way!

This month our hostess is Naomi and she asked us to feature a flower representing our country. Now, I had the freedom of choosing either Poland or Australia, and Flourishes caters for both of these options. Although knowing that Kathy would have to go for Aussie theme as well, I opted happily for Poland and its national flower: poppy. Cool, huh?? I’m all sorts of giddy to have such a flower for our emblem, since it’s my favourite! They have an added sentimental value to me now since they don’t grow wild in Oz, and I keep coming back to my childhood years when I kept bringing home armfuls of those cuties. No kidding. I remember whole fields red with poppies. Sigh. I really miss this 🙂

This image is actually quite close to the actual wildflower bouquets that I was making constantly as a kid. Cornflowers are also abundant in Poland, and so are marsh marigolds which these small daisies resemble. Here’s the list of Copics that I used… I was in a hurry so unfortunately I didn’t have enough time to match them with any existing Flourishes Copic sets… markers were flying in my hands! lol

poppies: R05, R02, BV20, BV23, BV25, BV29
marsh marigolds: Y15, Y28
cornflowers: B34, B37, B99
pink flowers: R32, R35
foliage: YG11, YG13, YG17, YG67
butterfly: B00, C5
sky: BG000

Thanks for taking time to visit me here in Australia, it’s time to grab your passports and board Flourishes Flight, your next and last destination is… Dina’s blog!
