You’re gonna love this week’s CASE Study card! In case you missed the news, Kathy Racoosin is our Muse and she has some MAD colouring skillz. How cool is that gradient she created with her clever Copic work, and I adore the vellum as well!
Those fresh, funky colours… I wanted to feature them but in a different way than stripes (I love Kathy’s approach but I’m striving to bring something new to the table as well!). I once again succumbed to bokeh, and thanks to the fantastic Hero Arts shadow inks, I was able to create this little piece:
I used the back of a circular acrylic stamp (any one will do as soon as it’s the right size and a perfect circle - I also like the design at the front to be uniformly distributed so that roughly the same pressure is applied to the surface when stamping).
The sentiment is built with a Die-Namics die cut and the sentiment from a Lil’ Inker Designs stamp set. As you can see, I also used a strip of vellum, and I arranged everything according to the STS#3 sketch which I used to give my mojo the final push
The bokeh effect also reminded me of the Tuesday Trigger: In Transition. I played with different shapes but the idea of the colours softly overlapping and changing from one to another is there alright
Check out the blogs below for the Design Team’s takes on the challenge, or visit CASE Study to see it all happening in one place. We’ve got a new Guest Designer as well, Amber! Big welcome to both gorgeous ladies
