Anyone else finds the title of the current Tuesday Trigger intriguing? I hope these tears were happy ones 
Anyhow, I love the inspiration (duh!) and I decided to give it a go.
Chevrons must be one of those ultimate timeless patterns, how many seasons now that it rocks the design everywhere? And it evolves, which is cool enough itself. I see a lot of big, chunky chevron these days and mmmm… I like it a lot. I used a stamp from MFT‘s Mod Borders set to create the corresponding pattern on this one layer card. I inked it with various shades of ink in the Colorbox Cat’s Eye Queue; the small pads are soft & spongy and the shades mix wonderfully.
The sentiment is cut from one of the cards in the MAMBI (My & My Big Ideas) Themed Cards pack. These cards are designed with Project Life and scrapbooking in mind but I’m having all sorts of fun using them creatively on my cards. Plus, they’re truly beautiful and trendy.
The leaf is cut and embossed with the Spellbinders die, in a piece of white card which I sprayed generously with Tattered Angels Chalkboard Mists. I cut it while the mists haven’t completely dried yet (I’m impatient) and I discovered that the embossing brought forth the colour and vice versa. Something to remember in the future for sure! I added a layer of Smooch on top, you can see a bit of the shimmer on the photo above.

I love this so much darling. Such a wonderful graduation of colours on your stamped chevrons, I love that sentiment (wish it was a stamp!) and all the other little touches of trend and colour are just fabulous!!
