CASE Study Challenge #164

Written by: iwona    7 Comments

It’s time for a new CASE Study challenge and here’s the fresh inspiration piece from our Muse, Elena Roussakis. Don’t you just love the wonderful mix of pastel goodness??

It’s so fantastically girly and charming, and airy. I had that ‘fresh and airy’ bit especially in mind, when creating my card. Aside from the colours, I opted for the slightly messy look and wanted to evoke a sense of freedom. The cluster of elements is meant to represent the bird, flying up into the sky with the sun behind him. What do you think?

I used another Simon Says exclusive, called Sketchy Banner Greetings, for my sentiment. These funky little banners make me happy! Part of it was stamped on a piece of old DP, and I used pinking scissors to trim it on one side, and a sewing machine to attach it to the card. I pulled both ends up for an extra ‘unruly’ touch. The little hearts are pulled from another set (The Craft’s Meow) but it doesn’t matter much which one you use as soon as they’re small :)
The inspiration for my layout:

Check out the blogs below for the Design Team’s takes on the challenge, or visit CASE Study for the full reveal. I’m sad to announce that my dear friend Jean Martin is taking a break from crafting and therefore stepping down from the Team, for the time being. I’ll miss her creations tremendously and I’ll be keeping fingers and toes crossed for her to make a re-appearance whenever she’s ready :)
