Take joy in the little things

Written by: iwona    29 Comments

Hi guys! I’m glad you enjoyed yesterday’s card, it’s my favourite style to do but sometimes tricky to execute and I get excited when a) I think I did a good job, and b) I get your approval 🙂 Today I’m in with another challenge entry and one more example of freestyle collage, only this time lighter in look.

It’s full-on with WPlus9, namely Flora & Fauna (butterfly, coloured with Copics and glittered), Sweet Nothings (one of my favourite sentiments set ever), and Damask Delight with coordinating dies (die cut and stamped in Memento Luxe Angel Pink). I combined those on a PTI Vintage Cream card, along with some Prima Wood Icons (wood veneer flower and leaf), sequins, and a wash of Tattered Angels Old Pages Glitter Paint. The background was created by stenciling embossing paste over the My Favorite Things Petal Pattern template.
Here are the challenges that inspired me:

The Card Concept challenge #1, with the delightful palette below:

and CAS-ual Fridays #125 with a request for expressing one’s personal resolution for the new year with a word. It was a no-brainer for me, choosing this particular sentiment since it’s my life’s motto and something that I always cultivate like a mantra, year after year. Boy does it work… better than anything else I tried, but you really need to embrace it like a child, simply and to the full 🙂

See you again soon, crafty friends! xx
