CASE Study Challenge #183

Written by: iwona    3 Comments

Welcome to another CASE Study challenge! I’m especially partial to this week’s inspiration card from our Muse, Joni Nina Andaya, for not only it’s clever, unique and gorgeous, but it also features one of my favourite stamp sets from PTI - Fancy Folk Art. Not surprised, are we? FOLK, people. Mmmmm :)

I feel like I haven’t done this beauty justice. AT. ALL. No mojo, perhaps. The card started well but it got off hand somehow. Plus, today is apparently not a good day for taking photos and I don’t know why, and it bugs me. Anyway. I hope it won’t scare you off and if I find a minute, I would love to give this challenge another chance.

I stamped the elements of the floral arrangement with HA inks but then I thought it looks too flat and added some shading with Copics. The splatters I thought as well would help lift the design but now I wish I left everything as it was :/

Check out the blogs below for the Design Team’s takes on the challenge, or visit CASE Study to see it all in all place. Today we’re also sadly saying good-bye to another Teamie, Andrea Ewen. She’s been with us for almost the whole time and it feels like losing a family member. Sniff!

  1. Well, you know what is funny- I saw the purple splatters and thought, “there she is again with something unexpected and edgy that just takes you away!” So I think both versions would work for different reasons! I really like it, and especially the placement of the sentiment, juxtaposed with the diagonal striping! Mojo be darned!
