Hi guys, I’ll try to make it a quick post tonight ’cause I’m off in a wink. I saw the sketches that Hero Arts is offering in their new contest, and found them too cute to pass. I was actually waiting impatiently for both a free evening to play with one of the sketches, and a free day to share the card Here’s the contest graphics, I decided to use the sketch #3.

I was pottering around the interwebz, looking for additional inspiration and I stumbled upon the new challenge in A Blog Named Hero, which is asking for artwork inspired by a Hero Artist. Thud! That’s it!
I went to Shari Carrol’s blog immediately, for a shot of awesomeness and I didn’t have to search for long… this card HERE inspired me with a very similar layout that was tweaked slightly and in a very adorable way, and the colours. Here’s what this all came up to…

I must admit that I haven’t shopped for anything Hero Arts for what seems like long months. Well, except for the Palms Fancy Die which I announnce one of the most squeal-worthy products of 2004 so far
I’ve had the coordinating stamp, Three Ferns forever and I absolutely adore it. Too bad it’s not sold on SSS any more… Well, I used it on my card along with the die, to create some depth.

The sentiment belongs to the trusty Many Birthday Messages stamp set (also HA) and I stamped it partly in white pigment ink and in HA Pool Mid-Tone Ink. The ferns were die cut in cardstock previously inked with Distress Inks (Festive Berries, Tumbled Glass, Mowed Lawn).
