CASE Study Challenge #194

Written by: iwona    3 Comments

It’s time to kick off another month at CASE Study! Of course it means we get to introduce another talent to our Pantheon and it’s with great pleasure that I announce that June belongs to Pamela Ho! Here’s what we’re starting with… arguably the very card of hers everyone has pinned somewhere in their Pinterest boards!

It was easy to be inspired by this card, quite literally as well because this design yields more possibilities one can imagine. And so I went with black, the use of negative space in die cutting and a tiny pop of colour.

Let me start by saying who much disappointed I am with how the card photographed. Ugh, I thought I have the photography aspect covered but apparently not quite so. FYI, the card is smooth black, no fuzziness about it whatsoever.
That being said, I used the leafy branch die from WPlus9 Foliage Frame Die to die cut the leaves, and I embossed the sentiment from the discontinued Filigreed Frames stamp set, with green EP. I also dressed up the branches with some teeny tiny black pearls.

  1. Such an elegant card, Iwona! I love the black on black. I completely understand the pain of photographing black cards. I have found that black dogs are just as difficult. Every time I photograph Coco I wish it would work better, lol!
