Hello, hello! I made it a tradition it seems, that my Saturday sketches arrive late… got to keep going with what I’ve got! I hope you don’t mind much; I find that I don’t have enough time to build up these challenges as much as I initially wanted (at least not at he moment) but I do love it when you play along and enjoy the sketches. How about this one?
And here’s my card inspired by the sketch. Traditionally, I plastered a mix of stamps all over it (all from Papertrey Ink: Ruby Rose, Boutique Borders: Birthday, Big & Bold Wishes and Super Stripes) and used PTI inks to infuse the card with plenty of colours. There’s a subtle transition from orange to melon on the big sentiment, I inked it with both Orange Zest & Berry Sorbet.
The frame was embossed with Scalloped Squares LG Nestabilities die. I created the striped background on the Aqua Mist card base with Super Stripes and Hawaiian Shores ink, layered a white panel with Harvest Gold CS, stamped the sentiment and flourish from Boutique Borders: Birthday and Big & Bold Wishes in the embossed frame. The blooms from Ruby Rose were stamped in Harvest Gold, Orange Zest, Berry Sorbet and Simply Chartreuse and cut out. I don’t have the dies :/

Happy Easter, peeps! Hehe. Here’s a wee new sketch for ya’, will you make time this long weekend to play along?
The inspiration for the sketch lies in Altenew‘s Painted Flowers which I was itching to try in black &white. However, it took a lot of effort not to add the tiniest bit of colour to the background since they look so beautiful multi-stamped. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, check out my card from when I did them in full colour for the Altenew opening blog hop.
The perseverance paid off though, I think. They’re still utterly lovely. I added a pop of colour elsewhere, on two Simon Says Stamp Medium Tags which I cut in PTI Lavender Moon / Lemon Tart and stamped with PTI inks. The sentiment comes from the brand new Hand Lettered Hello from WPlus9, which I’ve been refraining from inking (along with the rest of the April release) to savour the projects for my introductory week more (SOON!). Alas, I failed and heck, I’m far from regretting it. LOL

Holy abundance of comments! Thanks for the interest in yesterday’s post (and the giveaway! hehe), I’ll select the winner towards the evening EST so you still have plenty of time to do your rounds. Check it out HERE to find out what Altenew is all about… if you haven’t yet!
Today I bring you a grossly delayed, new sketch… I didn’t want to post any sooner to give you a chance to see the blog hop post, but hey, it’s time to get inky again so shall we? And whooaa… it’s horizontal, people!!
Both the sketch and my card, were inspired by THIS CARD by Tina. Mega LOVE. I pretty much CASE’d it. You have to do these things some time
So all I did was cut some washi tape & patterned papers from Glitz Design‘s Cashmere Dame paper pack, including the paper pieced butterfly (from Inkadinkado mini set Reach For The Sky), stamp the sentiment, bundle some thread (good grief, you infected us all, Aga!) and sprinkle Tattered Angels Chalkboard Mist in Jade, over the whole thing.

Hi gang, ready for a new sketch? This one’s super simple & edgy and I can’t wait to see what you make of it!
I added a cute character to the lot, from the Penny Black Cute as a Bug stamp set. I’ve been in a colouring mode and I love it - the only downside of it is that it’s a serious time-eater. The last image I coloured (last night) took me about three hours to finish but I’m darn happy with the result and I can’t wait to share on Thursday
There’s at least one die on the market that would work well with this card but alas I have none of these and so I hand cut mine. Easy peasy

Hi folks, ready for a new sketch? I will do my rounds commenting on your entries for the previous sketch soon, promise! I’m not quite back on the routine still, and very little has been happening craft-wise. I’ve been enjoying making our new house a home and spending time with my parents. Watching them bond with my younger one, and regaining contact with Chuplet is priceless.
I love this sketch and how versatile it is! I used a Wendy Wecchi Metallic Silver Embossing Paste with a Memory Box Rhapsody stencil, for a subtle background, over which I layered a magnificent Hero Arts Palm Fancy Die. I’ve been a long time fan of their Three Ferns stamp and when the coordinating die came out, I didn’t hesitate for a moment. It was just waiting for the right card to be used on!
For the sentiment, I combined the MFT Celebrate Die-Namics with the white embossed word from the Simon Says Always & Forever set.

Hi there, I’m sorry for another late sketch! You know the drill, I won’t be boring you with excuses and get right on it the crux of matter. I will do my commenting rounds as soon as I can too!
It’s a pretty, simple & classy sketch. I have a plain white card base with a panel made from Simon Says Woodgrain cardstock - such a shame I failed to capture its gorgeous texture well on the photos, but I have no time to re-do :/
For the scene, I used Penny Black dies (Nature’s Song and the brand new After Glow), which I brought to life with some Distress Inks and (with a dash of Galaxy Gold Brilliance too). The sentiment from Penny Black Friendship set, was gold embossed on vellum.
