CASE Study Challenge #165

Hello, hello!! Exciting time at CASE Study, a new Muse and Guestie make their appearance today! November belongs to Keisha Campbell and I say, if you don’t know and love her artwork then it’s quite possible you’ve been living under a rock. I ADORE her style and I’m really hoping to channel a few of her ‘trademark’ styles this month and have some fun! Let’s get it started… with the beauty below! Shall we?

I love how Keisha does neutrals. She reaches for them fairly often and when paired with the impeccable execution and clean lines (another one of her strongholds), they are simply stunning. Plus, kraft paired with blacks and greys? Yes, please!
Another thing that I like about her style is how she mixes so many die-cut elements on the card, so effortlessly. It would be fair to say that most of her cards feature entirely die-cut stuff, and ready-made die cut embellishments. Now, I know that we all love our dies but there’s a certain grace in the way she always combine them. that, plus a lot of ingenuity. Here’s my take:

Layering die cuts, cutting from patterned paper, a butterfly, clean lines with a bit of whimsy. All of this I find true to her style, but I gave it my own twist and I hope it shows :) I also decided to use Teresa Collins papers, not only I adore their stuff but Keisha is on their DT. Oh my gosh, I went in arms and legs, didn’t I?? LOL

Check out the blogs below for the Design Team’s takes on the challenge, or visit CASE Study for the full reveal. I’m sad to announce that my dear friend Jean Martin is taking a break from crafting and therefore stepping down from the Team, for the time being. I’ll miss her creations tremendously and I’ll be keeping fingers and toes crossed for her to make a re-appearance whenever she’s ready :)
