Bundle of joy

Nope, not mine!! Not yet… still waiting :)
This card is for the Runway Inspired Baby Shower Challenge, thrown for my wonderfully talented Polish friend and ric Designer, Aga Małyszek. The inspiration photo of the darling little girl can be found below, along with another inspiration piece that helped shape my card, coming from Jen’s card in Muse Challenge #15.

I let the colours of these two blend together, plus notice how I carried the elements from both, through my design. Polka Dots, embossing (translated into scoring, hello ScorBuddy!), bow on the dress and on my card.

I’ll see you tomorrow, for an exciting CASE Study challenge. New Muse, anyone?? You’re going to love her :)
Question to self: will there still be three, or four of us by then?

WMS April Release Previews - Day 2

Welcome to the Day #2 of Waltzingmouse Stamps April Release! I hope you enjoyed yesterday and you’re ready for more awesomeness to roll in :)

Today’s cards feature new stamps to add to your Nordic collection - Nordic Baby! It’s an adorable mini set with a bunch of knit-style fonts and a pair of baby boots that will make you say “AWWW!”. I know they totally did it to me, but gosh I know I might be more than biased, in my current state :) Heheh…
I’ve thrown together a bunch of classic ‘baby pastels’, for the card below. Plus some button twine, for a touch of texture.

I had fun with die cutting, while making my next card. I overlayed three circle shapes (negative die cutting done using Circle Nestabilities), and stamped the circle elements inside them. Then I took the little “crocheted” border stamp, curved it gently on the acrylic block to match the curvature of the opening, and stamped repeatedly around.

The full list of blogs participating in today’s previews, can be found below.

Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #70

Here comes another Saturday sketch on Sunday… I reckon I should rename it to “Sketchbook Weekend” to avoid any further frustration! lol
That’s what I like about it, though. The freedom of setting the rules myself, which means that I’m never forced into anything. I hope you like the laid back nature of these sketches too, where no competition comes into play, only the pure joy of creating :)

I started with the special Baby Shower challenge at Runway Inspired. One of the two Design Team Members, my sweet friend Cristina has recently welcomed a baby to the world, and I had a card for her in mind for a while now.

I pulled out the long neglected stamps from There She Goes - the giraffe is from Zoo-pendous,
and the stars from Bit Of Stardust. I lined up three of them and stamped diagonally across the entire layer. I used Versa Magic Wheat ink.
The sentiment is from AnnaBelle Stamps set, designed by yours truly - Baby Joy.
The giraffe was coloured with Copics, and I added Glossy Accents to its eyes / glitter glue to the spots.

A few things to keep in mind if you decide to use my sketch:

- You’re kindly asked to save the image onto your computer first, and if you make a card based on it, please link back to this post.
- If you upload your card to an online gallery, use the code SSC70.
- Feel free to share the link to your creation via the Inlinkz widget, so that I can come and check it out!
- The colours/elements mean nothing towards the card. All styles, colours and supplies, as well as slight alterations of the sketch are welcome.
- A new sketch and sample is posted every Saturday, but you’re welcome to play any time! Just leave a link in the comments section after Inlinkz widget closes.

The Craft’s Meow June Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the June Release Blog Hop at The Craft’s Meow!!
If you made your way here from Larissa’s blog, perfect! Otherwise you can join our festivities by starting at The Craft’s Meow blog.

The Craft's Meow

Earlier this week, the Teamies have been sharing the sneak peeks of six new stamp sets to join the TCM family. You had multiple chances to win win one of these sets, and I hope you were the lucky ones! If you weren’t, fret not!
You’ve got the ultimate chance to grab ALL SIX sets, simply by visiting and commenting on each stop in the hop!
The deadline to comment is 9:00pm PDT, Sunday, June 23rd.

I’m sharing two cards with you today. The first one features my favourites from the release, Stitched Flowers and Stitched Sentiments from Nina Brackett. I absolutely LOVE this whimsical bouquet, it’s perfect for colouring! I pulled out my Copics, added some shading to bring the blooms to life and outlined them with light grey marker for further impact. Then I stitched some colourful buttons to the center of each.
A couple of days ago I filled the sentiment with Copics too, this time I left it as it is. Let me tell you, these sentiments are so much fun!!

The card also features some My Mind’s Eye papers (Stella & Rose), Kaisercraft lace and my favourite striped twill ribbon.

I based it on two recent challenges, ISSC20 sketch and cQc#142 colours:

For my next card, I put together some utterly lovely Basic Grey papers and die cuts (pb&j), and the stamps from Lovely Labels 14 and Oh Deer.
I first stamped the flowers from Lovely Labels 14 on white card, with Memento Angel Pink. Then I stamped the sentiment from the same set, with Memento Love Letter on pink card and cut out the banner.
The deer from Oh Deer was paper pieced with the BG paper, and I’m pretty happy with how I matched the pattern with the stamp.

This time I used the Card Patterns sketch 170:

From here, jump on over to Jackie’s blog! Thank you for visiting, have fun hopping along with us :)
Don’t forget, that one of the newly released sets, Summer Fun is your June’s Gift w/ $50 purchase in the TCM Store!!

CASE Study Challenge #96

Here’s my first post for today, folks! A little bit later I’m popping in again with The Craft’s Meow June Release Blog Hop, so stay tuned…

Like on every Thursday, a new CASE Study challenge has begun, and this week we serve you more inspiration from our June Muse, Joy Taylor:

Apart from my favourite aqua tone, I was really taken by this little plane stamped in black on kraft. How awesome is this look! I decided to swap the plane for a little vintage buggy from Stampendous, that I picked up recently. I added to it just a tiny little hint of pink, by colouring the shade with a Copic marker.

The card also features
PTI stamps (A Little Argyle, stamped in Versafine Onyx Black and Palette Fresh Snow), and the sentiment is from the stamp set that I designed for AnnaBelle Stamps quite a while ago, Baby Joy. Let’s face it… illustrator I am NOT, but I did have my moments… lol

The Design Team prepared some beautiful samples today as well, click on any of the links to be taken to their blogs:

Some odd card

Hi sweets, a very quick post!
The TSG day two of sneaks begins in an hour, and also I want to make it on time with a challenge… so let’s get to it :)

I purchased a few more Some Odd Girl digis yesterday, with the intent to satiate my crave for cuteness. Hee hee!
I put one of the images to use on this card…

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Canson (grey), American Crafts (green, pink), white; paper: Echo Park Paper (Country Drive); stamps: Some Odd Girl (digi), Hero Arts; ink: Versa Color (Cinnamon); Copics; Nestabilities Labels 14; buttons; MFT Dizzy Doily die; label sticker: SRM Stickers; checked ribbon; flower die-cut: SEI; sewing machine

I used the CPS236 sketch, but I totally forgot about the vertical strip… oh NOES! I turned it on the side… as I would 😉
The lovely inspiration below comes from TPE117.

I’m also playing with JAI85 (baby theme), and of course, a ‘stitching’ challenge at Some Odd Girl blog :)
Thank you for coming, I hope you enjoyed the visit :)
